I'm also in the same boat as you guys, I could play a month ago but my computer needed a OS reinstall. When I installed DayZ again I'm faced with this error on ANY server I go to.

Exactly where my friend got his, installed it with Arma 2:Free and it works perfectly.

I used to play ARMA 2 for the Project Reality mod, then I just stopped playing.

Exactly what I was thinking. Just look at Natural Selection 2, that is a game created after the success of the mod. They even took time out to create their own engine rather than use Source.

You say you would never shoot him from behind if you just logged in, however if you then mention that you are behind him he may shoot you. Dog eat dog modification dude, bad luck comes in heaps.

When hitting the respawn button your body should not have any loot on it, I've noticed many people effectively duping their inventory by running back to their body. It's simple, unless you've been shot by another player within 30 seconds of pressing the respawn button you drop zero loot.

Thank you, you've basically summed up what I was thinking. More people need to watch their surroundings too. I see players sprinting down the rail tracks just asking to be shot.

Already had it for Project Reality, but this was a real good reason to make me play again.

The ability to invite people into a private group would come in handy for people that don't use teamspeak etc. You have to have a minimum of four people to start a group and once you're in that group you will have an icon above your head. This icon is only viewable to people inside of the group. Although the main idea I wanted to put forward was group spawning. If you're all in a group together you can all spawn at the same location, or at least a smaller distance apart to stop spawn kills. That is all.

I dunno It's just so hard to find where your friend is sometimes, and when you finally do know where they are you have to walk 150km the other way. I'll edit the post with anything you guys think should be added instead though.

A lot of servers are transitioning to a whitelist so....Join a server that isn't populated by idiots.
