this is the best solution for me, making infected harder to deal with and a higher count of them will in general make you think if even only for a brief second. the main isue is the fact that there is no penalty to death, it is not hard to find capable equipment and if you have a base or a friendly server then losing quipment means nothing just like dying

then its not something i would be interested in ;-)

since i have signed up pretty much all i see is a list of posts for recruitment or players looking for a group. i think its high time you guys make a dedicated forum section for this ALONE, then the bandits and survivors can have their forums for discussing in game things im sure this would of been suggested before but i didnt notice anything

personally i wouldnt want blood regen,if it could be a server option then fine i guess bears make sense since bear traps and dogs ;-) fish is fine but i have no idea how they would code that in lol

i may be new but posts/opinions like this really irritate me, its opinions like this why we get the same old drab bland no creative experience games we have had to suffer for years(for the most part) this didnt always used to be the case. there are plenty of goals in dayz, they are just not written into the game in the form of quests or arbitrary imaginary magic pick ups that do things to ruin the game the goal is to survive, how you get to that goal is up to you, but no matter how long you have played this is always the case. there are many different "goals" you can set yourself with different play styles, the only thing being you need enough common sense to be able to figure these out or press a button to watch or read someone who is doing 1 of them. if you could save your character with some device this would ruin any risk involved in the game. getting to certain areas for points??????? and what woudl these points do? another useless number on a sheet which has no importance and just because you walked to a certain point on a map? the rewards are already there in the form of loot in very certain areas i dont mean to offend by any of this, but i am thinking your expecting this to turn into a "real game" and by that i mean some unimaginative crap that EA and actiblizz spew out all the time which holds your hand and tells you what to do

id rather get info than jumping on some random ts or having to sign up to a forum to see whats what as for the other guys, sure if you have a st server im willing to join to start up something

yogscast try to be funny but usually fall far short, the reason they are popular is because of the minecraft kids. their reviews of minecraft mods tend to be horrible missing out key features or stating facts when indeed they are glaring errors. they are also incredibly snobby and care far less about their content since they got "famous" im not hating on them as i used to watch alot of their early vids as a quick way to find new minecraft stuff without searching 1000000000 topics on the forums. however the majority of their watchers will not adapt well to dayz, same as totalbiscuit(although he does higher quality content) its a youtube issue rather than the content creator, as soon as you hit a certain sub point your "community" goes down hill fast for the most part, this is not 100% the case but the bigger youtube guys this is the norm in any case, no playthrough will be a bad thing, if they suck they will leave

i would of said no, however i just joined a server and was using my old character which vanished yesterday. i had just left another server with that player alive and this is the 3rd time now. so when i log into a server(if i get past the loading bug) i may start yest another new player or be popped into 1 of the other ones floating around just as well its alpha cause its a mess right now :-)

why does no one seem to post basic info, ie their location and age range

a gts240 should idle at around 30c, are you sure its C and not F temp scale? now when its runnning a game i fully expect it to run hot as its not a good card but in general you wont see graphic cards going over 80c unless they are OC or in sli/crossfire, or the case has bad cooling, but idle conditions it should never be over 40c unless you have a tight case or live in a stupidly hot place

i see the forum search is useless. just made a post luckily it seems to of vanished :-) i have had the same issue last night/today logged off safe and secure, login 12 or so hours later and get the loading bug a few times, finally get on a server only to be at the beach in starting gear.

sounds like fresh bandit lure :-) cant you just hop to a server with the glass broken?

its like 80% of the servers that do this to me, you know its loaded because you can hear the wind rain ocean whatever. loading bar fills up but never goes away and it also deletes your character in the process as i found out tonight

Hi I live in the UK 30 years old, plenty of spare time,have a mic etc im looking for an EU(possible east coast usa depending on ping to servers you spend time on) english speaking group who use TS, are 18+(or atleast mature) age and not full on bandits. i will kill people but not for defensive/protection purposes only, i wont activly hunt for people ive had a quick look but most groups seem to be like 50+ members, im looking for a small group/clan(4-20) who play regular and help each other with aims of having a base and a vehicle or 2, or defending and maintaining it if you have this already.

who cares about sounding desperate :-), come on there has to be A group out there

i get stuck at loading more often than i dont, i know the games loaded because i can hear the effects etc but the screen is black with the loading bar in the middle full yet never transitions

was i too picky? :-P
