Yeah, the nights right now really force a nighttime type of play instead of gamma tricks. Even with gamma tricks, you still have advantages over others. I personally find myself having to use flares more, avoiding zombie vs target in pitchblack.

Its an interesting way to fix for people always calling about to many murders, now with increased zombies and decreased ammo, people will want to conserve, stockpile ammo more and avoid zombie aggro.

Having multiple characters really removes a certain aspect from this survival game. Playing one character really forces you as your character progress to become more and more careful and you become more and more paranoid, just like it should be.

A problem with kicking to make room is sometimes you have to kick 2 and 3 people because you cant guarantee they are the ones getting in. -

I can not help but notice the similarity of Half Life (Arma II) and Counter Strike (Dayz mod) to this situation. Half Life was a popular game in its own right, and then someone made a mod for Half Life called Counter Strike. Holy shit if CS isnt the shining example of mod gone mainstream. CS became just as popular as Half Life because they brought out great multiplayer and the people that developed the mod went straight to Valve. Dayz has this exact potential, Rocket can likely do whatever the fuck he wants at this point, and it is extremely pleasing to see that many of the suggestions people have given seem to be along similar development as HL:CS lifecycle.

Buy a game one time, expansions could be paid or free depending. Development wise it could exist as a mod, yes. But if you want to go big, you'd need to start from the ground up.

I think it simply amounts to Rocket doesnt want separate environments, he wants to create a brutal experience. I love this part: "P.S. you guys are pussies." To really get this mod, you need to get rid of this PvP, PvE mindset that everyone has, thats been established by the current gaming industry. Instead, lets do something different and unique.

Hopefully, you'll never be able to depend on an ingame mechanic (firezones, npc, etc) to avoid any of the challenges of the game, you have every other game in existence pretty much for that.

I've multiple jerry cans and have done multiple refuels from tanks found throughout the landscape, they are there, they work. Surprisingly easy to find in my opinion. -

Legion openly kicks people (sometimes resulting in death) to make room for clan mates. Been going on for days. Now an admin kicking because he was killed by someone else seems to be crossing the line, of course, he said she said. -
Go for it but its really direct quote and summary of rocket's words. Something additional to add a bit more expectation if you want. Day Z is a player versus everything, survival horror mod, where humans are just as murderous as zombies.

Yeah, attached to one server. Vehicles for sure, and depending on development, other things such as fortifications will also be persistent to the server they are spawned/constructed on.
