    Rain Shows Zombies

    The white blobs are supposed to represent peripheral vision and hearing movement, difficulty setting of the server affects how easily these can be utilized unless im sadly mistaken.
  2. Apologies if im talking out of my ass but i recall just a day or two ago playing regular Arma 2 generated combat mission and using that gun and another with thermal and toggling the NV/Thermal on/off.
  3. AMD 1055T at very slight OC, tried just with CPU count and i retained some of my FPS advantage but definitely not all of it. (Same scene 60FPS with all options was around 50-55 with CPU count and no parameters was around 40, scene used: overlooking electro with buildings rendered, both zoomed and unzoomed performance identical with parameters, unzoomed awful without them) Did several tests and it most certainly isnt placebo on most of my friends configurations. To use startup parameters in SIX Launcher push the tiny options button in the lower left corner and the insert them into the additional startup parameters. DEXER: Try disabling C1E and HT(hyper threading) in your BIOS setting if youre comfortable changing them, refer to motherboard manual if you dont know what youre doing before you commit changes.

    Hardcore player my ass hah. You get the answers you ask for then insult the person by accusing him of trolling, although from the look of things you just looked for people to worship you for having the guts to claim youre a hardcore player then contradict everything you said at the start of your post. Realism is not an absolute value apparently with the team (Hell if i know for sure though) but authenticity certainly is, twenty kids screaming on the sidechannel thirty clicks away from you about what they had for breakfast without radios is certainly not authentic.

Humans with good immune systems that get exposed to a healthy amount of germs dont get sick at all that easily mate, just rinsing your armpits crotch eyes mouth and hands is enough to go on for weeks without any serious risk of severe complications. Water consumption will have to be tuned still, compared to time its being consumed at an alarming but when siding with distances generally travelled its not all that far off from a realistic figure although that too still requires some toning down still. Fatigue is what still needs to be modeled more accurately, even winded you should be able to somewhat accurately aim while prone or propping against your legs while crouched. But you sure as hell wont run for ten kilometers with a full assault pack on you no way and still be able to function normally.

    Was going to options but the GUI apparently thought the upper limit on my screen was the respawn button.

    What do YOU do in Day Z?

    I play with a few friends though we dont always move as a pack at all times, i tend to gather supplies get camps or vehicles up and running for us. When were raiding for the stuff required for the above we generally avoid other players, when moving on my own i might kill another player if he is likely to carry the item i need to survive. Very rarely do i kill for sport, most of the cases of this has been of hearing someone shoot another player so i go in for the kill to sate my own taste of blood on a bandit, thats not to say i have qualms about shooting someone whos become an apparent threat or someone who has water/food/gun when i desperately need one.
  9. As some have said, the Kill on Sight guys are easily explained away by them being carriers of the zombie infection with a lesser degree of effects. How about implementing this in the manner of different levels of looking like a zombie on the face/skin with the level decided by the players humanity stat. This would have the advantage over the bandit skin of not being visible at great distances but would show how badly the person is consumed by the virus. This could be tracked persistently over deaths but in that case the decrease of humanity per death should be markedly slower and not murdering players should regain some humanity over time. Obviously they shouldnt make zombie noises still as this would clearly be a penalty limiting the bandits tactical options. Please voice concerns or advantages you see in addition to the ones i stated. (And yes im occasionally the asshat who will shoot you from the treeline 400+ meters away with a high powered rifle.)

    Humanity / Karma / Rage Proposal.

    Thats exactly why i suggested what i did, no bandit skin thats visible up to a kilometer or longer. You'd have to be within two hundred meters or less to even have the slightest idea. It also wouldnt penalize the bandit but leaves a visible marker of the characters humanity, adds another factor into the kill or not kill decision loop, wont stop banditry (which isnt the goal even) and also allows them to get rid of it eventually if they want to.
