  1. So my only problem with the Temperature is that I need Antibiotics... which I've never found... to cure a cold. I would like to see the ability to cure a cold by getting your body temperature back up to 100. You can easily catch a cold if your Temp falls again.

    why not for witnessing someone's death and proximity to zombies as well clearly these are all things that would cause stress Because the point of the game mechanic is to provide a penalty for PKers. This game is supposed to be an Apocalypse Survivor Simulator, not a Call of Duty death-match clone. With no penalties for player killers, it's essentially a really slow version of Call of Duty... with some zombies thrown in.

    So what you're saying is unless you have RL friends or guildies playing with you, that you forever have to play the game solo. Sounds great for hardcore gamers, not so great for everyone else.

[/quote'] what type of effects do you have in mind? and would this also occur from seeing/killing zombies? as im sure the sight of an undead person ripping someone apart would have in real life I already mentioned I would like to see a "Stress" meter, that would slightly increase the loss of food, water, temperature, and blood (when hurt) as the "Stress" levels increased. Of course, that "Stress" level would be increased by murdering other players.

    I had bandit the other night run into the building, fire wildly around the room, managing to kill the guy I was with, then he vanished ala Alt + F4. There needs to be a 60-90 second logout duration, or something. Too many cheesers playing this game now.

Not only are most people not sociopathic enough to murder multiple people, but a person in real life would weigh risk/reward much differently, and wouldn't go around shooting every person who has little or nothing of value. the point im trying to make is that really we have no clue how people would react i disagree you need to be a sociopath to kill multiple people... think wars.. You have to be a sociopath for it not to effect you. The large majority of soldiers who kill others in war suffer from mental conditions the rest of their lives. disagree... in a real apocalypse there would be a lot more murders More murders than current society, yes. Not even close to as many murders that exist in this game. Not only are most people not sociopathic enough to murder multiple people, but a person in real life would weigh risk/reward much differently, and wouldn't go around shooting every person who has little or nothing of value. the point im trying to make is that really we have no clue how people would react i disagree you need to be a sociopath to kill multiple people... think wars.. Soldiers who kill people face to face? I'd say around 95%.

Not only are most people not sociopathic enough to murder multiple people, but a person in real life would weigh risk/reward much differently, and wouldn't go around shooting every person who has little or nothing of value. Also, there is a huge mental stress/burden placed on people who murder, or witness death. Soldiers who come back from Iraq/Afghanistan etc. spend years in counseling to cope with what they've seen/done. I have a friend who was a field medic in Iraq, and he will never be the same again. Only a very small % of humans, in ANY circumstance, are capable of murdering people without care. They are called sociopaths.

    Let's talk about cooperation

    The game does not accurately simulate human behavior at all. If you aren't grouping with guildies or friends, you simply can't afford to help or group with anyone. It's essentially a single player game unless you have friends outside the game. If you're a solo player, you have to stay to yourself, because there is literally no bonus to grouping.

    The problem with murders in this game is they don't accurately reflect human behavior. Murdering someone in a game is nothing like murdering someone in real life. And thus, you have far more people murdering others than you would in a real Apocalypse. If the game is meant to be a simulator, it fails miserably in this aspect. This is why you have to find a way to classify and punish murderers, in order to more accurately reflect human behavior. Having a title like "Bandit" is one method. I would also like to see a "Stress" meter, which would increase the loss of blood, water, food, and temperature levels slightly more for people who choose to murder others.

    You can record with little or no FPS loss with Fraps. Just need a better computer.

    Once they fix direct text and voice, and remove global text/voice, the game will be 10x's better.

    Incentivizing Behavior

    I would like to see new Titles/Nametags open up for players to choose from. No physical awards, just the ability to display the type of player you are to others. For example, if I've killed 100 Zeds and murdered nobody, maybe I get the title "Hero" or something like that to place next to my name. Or if I bandage/transfusion 10 players I get the option to use the title "Medic" next to my name. Or if I manage to survive for 30 hours gametime, I can use the title "Survivor" by my name (I know it's already a title, but you get the picture).

    Waiting for server response...

    Try running Steam as administrator. I don't wait more than 90 seconds to connect to server. Haven't had a problem almost insta-connecting in days once I find a spot on a server.

    Sounds like the OP wants some NPC's with little ?'s over their heads that tell you to go kill 10 Wolves. That game already exists homie, go play it. People without imaginations don't last long in sandbox games.

    I'd love to know where you'd find an ARMA2 server for $50. Unless its like 10-20 slots You can rent an NFO 40-man Arma2 server for $50 a month. 50-man is $60 I believe. And thanks for your responses Matt and Rocket. Once you guys loosen the rules a little, I'll be happy to set up a public server. Brandon

    Admitted Duping and Hacking 20+ LLKJ members

    They only ruin the game for themselves. The people who dupe items will grow tired, and move on to duping/hacking some other game soon enough.
  25. I roll solo, and have never murdered a single person, not even a bandit. I've also managed to live days/weeks without dying. My goals is to never be seen by anyone.
