i dont think the group one serves a purpose right now as there are no groups in dayz at the moment? just clans in skype and teamspeak

ya a non pvp server would get boring after a while...the karma/bandit thing needs to be figured out and things would be fine i'm sure. I like what alldayzsimon said ""Pro-snipes" from across the world without ANY indication that you plan to kill someone is far from "PVP", that's like saying that Oswald PVP'd the shit out of Kennedy." He does in a way speak some sense there...but at the same time no...i just think thats fucking hilarious though, thanks for making me laugh man :P

i think login's idea is very well put together...though i dout that much work could be put into this game as the arma 2 engine probably couldnt handle half the stuff...but i have no clue :/

lol exactly...not many people in NA carry hunting knives around with them on a daily basis. but we are "survivors" randomly stranded on the coast who somehow have a backpack with a few supplies and somehow know how to shoot guns with perfect accuracy...so wouldn't it make sense for the guy to start out with a knife...?

i'd say no to a gun and yes to some kind of melee weapon to defend against zombies and bandits/pk's while you try to find your first gun

lol but i thought we were just civilians...not soldiers? so how could we carry all this weight and run forever without stopping? so your logic makes no sense. From what has been said before we are not trained soldiers who know know military skills, we're just civilians lost on an island marching to our deaths..

lol i think the OP has a very good point... and i dont think anyone on here gets it..maybe foxfall kinda gets it, but thats it. Why is this game purely about killing everything in your site, and trying to hoarde your gear? If you read the OP the guy stopped the car, pretty much looked at him and they had a one sided convo..then he drives off and starts shooting at him? thats very nice :/ thats just like when i find ammo and have no gun, and i have my flashlight out and a zed and a person approches me so i salute the person and instead of turning to shoot the zed he takes a min to think about and then shoots me... how thoughtful of him <3

so far each time i start a new and see a group of zombies...dosent matter how, one will always see me and start chasing me.. and it dosent matter how long or what i run through, they keep up with me no matter what, and i've yet to find a weapon to kill them with before they get to me; and i cant seem to out run them at all. Any tips?

i just want a knife when i spawn so i can stab people in the back. No more getting shot with my flashlight out, other than that this game is on par with bf3 for me..i have no other complaints.

number six isnt overly explained, but stay away from open areas as much as possible, and run to cover when you can, the brush is your best friend.
