I can understand, there is a big learning curve, I watched a lot of online videos of the game before I jumped into. After a while you remember where you need to go for a weapon, food and drink and medical things. After you do have all your gear or at least enough to feel safe, you explore, yes you can kill others you see for better stuff but it is a challenge, after all it is a game about surviving. I find it more fun to play to play with a buddy you trust. someone you have played with before and enjoy talking with. This was easier because I have moved from PS3 to Xbox and now to PC. The group I play with I know and that makes it more fun. I hope you have better luck with the game and maybe play with some people you know and like.

I have had this issue after updating from 1.7.1.5 While running version 1.7.1.5 I ran and kept up with everyone else. After 1.7.2.3 I can not keep up with anyone. My friend crouch runs and keeps up with me while I am standing and running. And yes I have tried double tapping shift and W and I am not aiming down the sights of the gun. My internet connection and computer are the same as they have always been.

Yeah I bought this game for the mod too, I think most new people did. I do how really enjoy the game tutorials. I wounder if the real game is as fun or about as fun as this mod?

yeah once you play a little while you get the hang of it. You look around with your mouse and you walk/run with W: Forward walk/run S: Backward walk/run A: Side step left D: Side step right Z: Prone X: Crouch C: Stand up Q: Lean Left when you have a weapon or Roll Left if prone E: Lean Right when you have a weapon or Roll Right if prone V: Hurdle, for going over fences or barbwire G: Open inventory F: Cycles through items you can throw like smoke grenades Left Button Mouse Click: Shoot your weapon or swing your weapon (axes and crowbar) Right Button Mouse Click: Zooms in and sometime toggles weather I run or walk which is nice Scroll Wheel: Used to open doors and cycles your your option to pick up items or your inventory

I use to be able to see different location on the map and my location along with other people that I spotted or if I heard a gun shot it would some times pop up on my map.... Some servers might have these options turned off but I am not sure.
