  1. He meant meters, also another tip to find the range of a target if you are on a regular server is to scroll up and it will display the distance to the target you are pointing at/hovering over.
  2. I must have been misinformed then, It has always seemed that I obtained better loot when I play on a regular server. Must just be the placebo effect at work.
  3. Veteran servers all the way, I've been enjoying the game a lot more since I've been playing on them. It might just be the server you where on had it disabled. FYI using your GPS you can get your coordinates on the map and they correspond to the numbers along the bottom of map making it easy to find out exactly where you are. Also Right CTRL + M makes the GPS HUD appear which is also quite useful. EDIT: Oh god I just realized how old this post was.
  4. I have never found one spawned in a barracks/deer stand etc. and I've only ever gotten one through a helicopter crash site. I've had great success in obtaining them through killing other players or searching through tents way up North. A good place to find people with them is to scan the hills surrounding either Elektro, Cherno or either of the Airfields. They are amongst the loudest weapons in the game, after shooting the player will usually relocate. Also, if you're trying to sneak up on a sniper with an M107/AS50, if they land one bullet on you, you're dead, atleast -10000 blood. And in reply to point 3). I'm not telling you any of my (probably overused) sniping spots. ;) Servers that restart frequently are a gold mine, also the lower difficult servers tend to spawn a lot more good loot vs Veteran or Expert. I think he is referring to players that abuse the save method of the HIVE and tents to duplicate their items in game. As to where they are located, they could be located anywhere just like a normal tent (because that's what they are).
  5. I've been doing alot better than usual the last week or so, things are looking up for me. http://imgur.com/a/YRNFD
  6. My thinking behind it is really that it would take up one inventory slot, leaving more room for ammunition or other supplies. You could stock up on maybe say 3 of these and still have 3 other inventory slots that previously would have been taken up by food or water/soda. @brubaker: This would be separate from the blood bag IV's and not restore any blood. This would be the sort of IV you get if you weren't able to eat it would deliver all the nutrients you need through your blood stream. i.e. of these: http://i.imgur.com/inf58.jpg In short, here's the sort of thing I'm thinking of: +Takes 1 inventory slot +Restores both hunger and thirst -Someone else needs to apply it to you -Doesn't restore any blood, unlike other foods.
  7. I'm 100% for this, I've had to disable head bob also because of the nauseating effects it has on me.
  8. IV Drips - Similar to the blood transfusion you need someone else to apply it to you, and when it is applied it will supplement both hunger and thirst. These should be quite rare, and shouldn't be a guaranteed find in hospitals. What do you guys think of this suggestion? Would it make the game unbalanced or too easy?
  9. ..I accidentally shot my friend point blank. I had spawned only about an hour ago, got an AKM with plenty of ammo along with a makarov, drinks, food and a watch.
  10. I was the one shooting at the Airfield.... If you see my post above it fits the description exactly about an invincible female player and green propelled plane..... what are the chances of that lol. Do you have any more footage of right after that clip of him spawning weapons? Yea here's the rest. It would have been nice to see how that face off would have went if the aforementioned "hacker" hadn't of been there. Although we wouldn't have been at the airstrip if it weren't for him. Hopefully I meet you again, just not under the same circumstances. :shy:
  11. Me and my friends met this player also, I'm unsure of the server as this was our first day actually playing DayZ and ArmA II. When we initially met him when he drove up to us in a car, I tried to kill him through the wind shield with my revolver but nothing happened, I assumed that you couldn't shoot through wind shields in ArmA and not that he was invincible. He was still cool with us though so we got into the car and he drove away, we regretted it straight away as we can't get out of the car without hurting ourselves and this is the longest we've managed to survive. He stops at the top of a hill and spawned a massive plane, stupidly we got inside, we were new and the excitement was getting to us, he had stated previously he was a 'dev', I went along with it but I couldn't find anything about a dev of DayZ that went by the name 'TheAdventurer', even at that, he probably could have just changed his profiles name. He stopped at an airfield at told us to get out, and he spawned a weapon but another player began to shoot at us so he urged us to get back into the plane, I tried to shoot him a second time through the front of the plane but nothing happened, again I thought it was just something in ArmA and not that he was invincible. We got in, shortly after he crashed killing myself and one of my friends. The other died shortly after. He continued to hassle my friends but I left DayZ after that. Image: http://i.imgur.com/gXMQT.png Video of him spawning a weapon: I have quite a low monthly bandwidth cap so I can't upload all of the footage, and i only started to record after the plane was pulled out of thin air. We are new players, all especially new to PC platform, we should have read up alittle about how the servers work (i.e. admins can't spawn stuff etc.), I don't believe any players died directly from our actions and next time we'll know not to go along with supposed 'devs' or 'admins'.
