Hi, I recently bought a DayZ server and I was wondering if there is any rule against stopping your server at night so your server will not be hacked or exploited when my staff team isn't online. Is this allowed? I do not want to get in trouble for this, but it seems like a good legitimate reason until the hacker problem is completely fixed. So what is your opinions on this?

Yes, that would be nice for a staff member of DayZ to respond. My only other question is, would I get in trouble for turning my server off at night? just in general.

Well I am kinda confused, two sides are telling me two stories... I do have a camp on my server, yes. So in ways it does involve my camp and any campsite on my server if there was to be a hacker, I heard tons and tons of stories of people losing everything do to hackers with some sort of tent finder as well as a car finder. But that isn't the main situation it is just in general if a hacker would want to screw up my server when only a few players are online they could do that if I allow my server to be online 24/7. So what? honestly I need to know seriously what to do? Everyone is giving me mixed options.

Not exactly from what I heard, a few servers I was on the last few days player-hunting at night time got exploited rapidly, fire everywhere, ammo boxes with every gun in the game, etc. I play a lot during the day-time, and just knowing that I could be online or one of my admins when a hacked attacked we could do a few things about it. So what do you think?

I am very tempted to moving my camp over in there, but isn't Rocket working on a script to remove everything in the debug plians?

Hi everyone, last few days me and my friends got very good loot, huey and other things, but my question is. Should I put my camp a bit in the de-bug plans for safety? I heard that Rocket was going to make a system to remove stuff in the debug plans so I am worried about that, is that true? Or should it be in the forest? I know a lot of people search for camps, but we have the only huey so that is good. But yes I need some help, thank you.

Late last night me and my friends where repairing a huey and a UAZ, when one of my friends attempts to join and denies him. Next thing I see is that the server is crashed, I log back in and the UAZ is turned into a bus and our camping tents are gone. What can I do to fix this? am very upset over what happen and I really hope that I can get this resolved.

Please help, this is kinda urgent, me and my friends worked very hard on our items and we would hate to loose them right now.

We did save them, that is correct. Can I rollback my server by any chance? and how do I do that?

I am a newbie server owner and I constantly see new updates such as "Latest: DayZ 1.7.2.3 + Hive 0.6.2.1" should I update them everyday or what Also my server has been lagging, any ideas how to fix that as well? the CPU is always at like 20 percent so I don't understand.

A few days ago I purchased a DayZ server, so far it has been very well tons of players online too! But just to be on the safe side I want to make sure that I am not doing anything wrong, so I wanted to ask some questions. 1: My server currently does not have a automatic restarting system yet, I manually restart it about every day or so, some times every five hours, as well as I do not have a message that appears saying the server is restarting because I don't know how do that, is all of that okay? 2: My server hasn't yet updated to the newest beta patch, I plan on updating it today but what if I did not? what would happen? 3: My server randomly has these terrible lag spikes where the connection freezes and everyone stands still, is there a way to fix that? A minute ago a global message appeared on my server saying "Blahblah votes for againblahblah to be a admin" Could they really get admin if they get enough votes on my server?

I have noticed it says the server is pending, does that mean it is getting permission from the DayZ team? Or do I need send a support ticket still to get permission for the server?

I needed to ask if cars, helicopters etc are spawning... Me and my three buds stayed up a entire night looking for a car or anything at every possible location but we didn't find anything. Hi everyone, a few weeks ago I was hooked on DayZ and currently the server I am playing on is getting very inactive, as well as I can't find any cars or helicopters. I am now looking into renting a server from HFB servers, but a few questions that I am confused about after reading the sticky post: Once I buy my server, will I have to register it by sending a email to the DayZ team? Or is my server ready for DayZ once I buy the server? I really just want around a 32 player server for DayZ, but I heard I must be 40+, is that true? Those two questions are the only questions for now, I may add some more in a moment.

Thanks for the help, I am still looking for a host, who do you use or do you know a good one?
