If you look around search near farms, open fields etc. You'll see them just standing there, there spawns are random though, depending on your weapon it takes about 1 or 2 times to kill an animal. And no they just stay there so its pretty easy to slaughter em ;D
-
Yeah just randomized but imagine if you could customize them.....
-
There is no 'good' server, they're all good :D, Just look for a server with low Ping/Latency under 100 preferably and less players if you want.
-
Holy, what a rush. A newbies kill or be killed story.

Such a good story, the first guy would of definitely tried to kill you so good work. -
Why do you need two main weapons?
FrankFisher replied to Griaumedis's topic in New Player Discussion
Two weapons is good but also can clutter your backpack,my combination would be a Winchester for zombies and an M4A3 mostly for players. -
Hmmm, that's the million dollar question, most likely you were unlucky, what building was it?
-
It's really up to you, go on one with a close location and a timezone that you like.

Spawn camping? really? rrrreeeaally!?
FrankFisher replied to maclawa's topic in New Player Discussion
Ahh spawning killing where people with no lives kill people and absolutely gain nothing from it apart from a murder... -
Ok please stop complaining, its an ALPHA version, not every problem in the game will be fixed. Also its only a MOD which was made to run on a tactical military simulator engine, (if you haven't even played ARMA itself.) So nothings going to be polished, I'm sure devs will slowly improve bugs but I honestly don't care.

It happened to me aswell, most servers will sync with the hive which is where all the character data is Some may not therefore creating a new one.

That's what most people say about notebooks but if you spend lots of money, your sure to get a future proof notebook.
-
lol Statistics? A bandits a bandit, when a player is killing people not from self defence and for fun.
-
It's actually easy once you play more look at the bottom right screen when you spawn in, use the online map, me and my mates usually have a meeting point.

Ok so I found this van, repaired everything but the engine parts, after looking ages for them I decided to move the van to a safer place. I drove it up a hill got out and kept looking. A few minutes later I heard a BOOM and saw the explosion, I quickly ran to it and there's my van upside down all blown up, next to it a dead survivor (who obviously stole the van) I really wish it wasn't so hard to repair vehicles in this game, Was it because of no engine parts that made it blow up?
-
...haha yep pretty rare that you see them
-
Just died after being alive for a few days...
FrankFisher replied to Matchew's topic in New Player Discussion
I fell (literally) for those god damn barn stairs... Twice in a row.. derp -
I swear they stay there forever until someone hides the body.
-
True, probably safer from a distance :P
-
Haaha never seen that before I don't care of its hacks it looks cool.
-
wait.. you can drag people in DayZ?
-
My first time gave me a taste of DayZ. I found a survivor , we teamed up, ran with him for about 10 mins across a rail track. Railtrack stops, nek minnit he shoots me. :D
-
Some things are buggy when you drop things, you'll have to take the risk.

Out of steam game screenshots
FrankFisher replied to hazzathealmighty's topic in New Player Discussion
You can use the print screen button on your keyboard or download third party program such as fraps, it stores screenshots in a folder. Also nice picture. -
I suppose, if they weren't rare then everyone would be driving around :P
-
Yeah exactly vehicles should be a lot more common given the map size and population of the towns/city's... Oh well
