Well a number of things could have happened, First and for most you sound like you know more about the game than someone who has only had it for a few days but regardless here's what could have happened, A: your CD key was stolen and someone hacked using your GUID and now you are globaly banned, B: you purchased a CD from a site other than legitimately buying Arma II and someone else used that Key to hack and got you banned C: (This is what I'm guessing happened) You hacked and are now crying about it cause you got caught. In any case if your account is banned you'll have to contact Battleye support not DayZ since it's a Battleye issue and none of the Mods or Devs can do anything about, inb4graveyard P.S you didnt buy DayZ you bought Arma II and OA, so you bought a totally different product, DayZ is just a mod for said game, therefore you didnt buy DayZ

if your interwebs are so bad that you cannot download Arma in under 10 hours your connection the DayZ mod servers and Arma servers is gonna be terribad, suggest getting real internet before trying to play. Best of luck out there

What you are asking for are DEFAULT settings for ArmA2, furthermore youll need ArmA2 OA plus ArmA2 free to play DayZ so you're going to spend about $20 anyway, either just wait for standalone or buy ArmA2 CA. At this point though its pretty silly (IMHO) to buy ArmA2 just for a mod thats being developed as a standalone game that will be out in a few months, and with ArmA 3 in dev.

No skill/stat system with xp rewards and a tree to fill out. 100% user skill based with everyone being equal. It's great the way it is, if you want a skill tree system of leveling try an MMO or maybe WarZ. DayZs player system is good the way it is, keeping it as player/user skill and on an even keel.

A SAW would not rip a limb off unless hit in quick succession, the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon fires 5.56 albeit a bit faster than, but the same round as the M4 and all M16 variants. But lets talk realistically for a minute, IRL a .50 fired from the M82A2 SASR(or Special Applications Scoped Rifle) in game would be the M107 .50 Barret, Does not even have to hit you to kill you. The round can pass over your shoulder, ripping all flesh from your face, dislocate your should and cause major internal muscle, ligament and tendon tears with a technically missed shot. Furthermore a dead center shot on someones torso @ 900m with a .50 would also cause all limbs to be severed and leave nothing but a bloody hunk of meat in its wake. Rounds fired from long ranged, high powered, scoped rifles do more damage at range than up close. A Cheytec .408 intervention causes more damage @ 1200m than a 12g shotgun firing 3 1/2in slug @ point blank range. Just a bit to think on when you want weapons nerfed or things changed because you think it's unrealistic.
