Never trust anyone, even your own "friends"

Yep, learned that the hard way...

To be honest, at first I was pretty careful, constantly watching my back for them, as I didn't trust 'em at the moment, but as time passed a little bit, my "killer" seemed like a really nice guy, we were cracking jokes, and just talking like we've known for years. Just as a sidenote, I just heard from the guy that created (don't know if that's the correct word :)) our group, he just said In skype that the whole time we've been playing, he didn't even want me to be a part of that squad, so, now I am starting to think conspiracy theories about him being part of my death. I just have this feeling that everyone in the group wanted me dead to get my stuff. But to be honest, they are all bunch of a**holes, and I have found myself a new group with mature players, so I hope I can finally have some more fun in DayZ after my mental breakdown about yesterday's happenings.

Thanks for everyone's comments :), I would like to apologize about my cussing as I was quite pissed off when I wrote this (10 mins after he killed me).
  5. Story starts in elektro, where I got all my gear from hill camping snipers. I got myself 11 kills, an AS50, M4A1 CCO SD, Ghillie suit and some other gear. First I joined a group my friend made, there were total of 3 players in our squad then. Then my friend recruited 2 other guys from the internet, at first when I met them (talking in skype) they seemed really nice and friendly, my two other squadmates have been rolling with them for a couple of days already, then today, The first time I joined their skype session, and started playing. Our plan was to get a boat and head for Skalisty Island in hopes for a helicopter. We met in Gorka, all 5 of us. We got into a trouble with zombies and took them out. Then we started heading towards Berezino, and we got attacked by a group of players, I am pretty positive that this was a set up ambush (by the guy who eventually killed me). Once we survive that, we head for a barn to take a breath, we sit in the barn for good 10-15 mins as we were having skype problems. I was just standing there waiting for everyone to be ready to move forward. Then out of nowhere the other guy starts shooting me to the head with an m14 AIM. I couldn't do anything as he was behind my back. He ended up taking my AS50, NVG's and rangefinders, leaving the M4 SD for my friend, who I have known for over 7 years. Later in Skype, I managed to speak to him a bit, and all he said was: "Well, you had such a good gear". You wont believe how angry I was, I even thought of using hacks, finding the server he's on and then just ruining his day. Never ever ever trust anyone in DayZ. Most importantly dont trust anyone who is 12 years old with shitty gear. That fu*@ing a**hole. Also, don't get too attached to your gear, I still miss my AS50 ;( So, please post below if you have stories similar to this, where someone who you knew, betrays you.

    Dear Bandits in LU287

To be honest, I don't really care, I am happy that I got myself some of the best gear in the game. :P
  8. I would like to thank you for two things, how bad your camp placement was and for the guns me and my friend got. I mean seriosly, who makes a camp with high grade gear on top of the hill near old fields (200-300m from stary). I got a bunch of gear, like two l86 lws, and some ammo, also there were bunch of left over weapons, like more l86's, Fn FAL NVG sight thingy's, and some ammo. Oh, not to mention the AS50 I got. Too bad you guys didn't have any NVG's or ghillie suits, though I got myself some camo's. Thanks for everything, also someone with a really bad aim tried to snipe us (missed 5 shots). I am going to assume that it was one of your buddies. I am going to say one more time of how grateful I am for your guys support in my adventures of DayZ. <3. P.S. I left you guys a bike there, which I also used to trash your tents, oopsie!

    Stary Sobor "massacre"

Well, granted, I am not a real marksmen, but you do need to have some knowledge about weapons, even though it's a game, you can't just start firing aimlessly in over 200 meter distances, you need to count in for ex. bullet drop. Otherwise your not going to hit a damn thing. Maybe the words "Experiences Marksman" aren't the right, but I just couldn't think of anything else. Also Im not from England nor America, so please excuse me for not having such a large vocabulary as you might have.
  10. I was at Stary Sobor, scouting the area before going in, I just waited there, no one to be seen, and no zombies around, but I still decide to wait just a little bit to just to make my chances of getting shot in the head a little lower. Then suddenly, I hear shooting, and see zombies running to other side of the building, then out of nowhere a squad of 3 pops out of nowhere with a trail of zombies behind them. I quickly ready my M16A4 ACOG, zoom in on my sights, and see all of them run in to the supermarket. I keep watching my back as I look at the group. I could see their weapons through the window, one guy had a hatchet, one had a Lee enfield and the last guy had a m249, which I could clearly hear as he was moving the zombies down. Soon I could see all the zombies disappear, instantly thinking that they disconnected, which they did. I sat there waiting for about 10 minutes, until I see 2 guys crawl out of back of the supermarket, I was about 250 meters away, so I account the range in as I'm sighting in on those 2 guys. I aim at them using the middle of the second and third line in my scope, and start firing, I calmly fire two shots on the other guy and two on the other, aiming for center body mass. I could see that my first shot hit just above the first guy, so I aim a little bit lower and I could see both of them going down. I had no idea where the third guy was. As I wait a little while, just waiting for the third guy to pop up, I start moving slowly to the supermarket, as I was halfway there, he comes out, I quickly aim down my sights, estimate the distance to about 150 meters, and shoot my first round it misses the guys head with an inch, I lower my aim and got him straight in the head, and he fells down with his fallen comrades, in the cold ground of stary. I see that zombies are coming my way, I quickly start sprinting to the supermarket, run over their corpses, get inside, turn around and shoot a couple of well aimed shots to the heads of those rotten zombies. After that I check my surroundings, all seems to be clear, and I begin looting the bodies, they really didn't have anything that I needed, but I did find myself a handy GPS from the hatchet guy, and then I replace my MP5SD6, which hasn't seen any action, for the M249 and two 200 round box magazines. So, the moral of the story is, that one experienced marksman, with as simple weapon as m16 and a good spot can do a lot of damage to groups of people. Hope you enjoyed reading through my experience in Stary.
