There are some servers running the wrong hive version atm. They need to update. Try playing on another server for now

I read a lot of posts about this today. Seems like BE has some new name conventions, but they seem to be WAY to restrictive. Might be a bug that'll be fixed in an update soon. For now change your name to something else (create a new profile, this will not affect your DayZ character in any way)

Nope. It's an elemental part of the game. There are no and most likely will never be any non-pvp servers

They are no magicians..... that's why they are not able to do this. You can't imagine how much work it is to develop a mod like DayZ. Stop talking like it is the easiest thing in the world......

Install arma beta patch. There are so many guides here.. just open your eyes or use six launcher.. god.....

this has nothing to do with the ip, but you are right it will not affect any dayz characters

You will only find vehicles that need to be repaired but of course you can steal a vehicle from another player. Your vehicle and gear will be safed if you scroll your mousewheel and choose "Save xxx"

Happens.. try to log in and out again. Also switch server to a third. If that's not helping then die (sometimes that will restore your old char). If nothing helps then you have to start again at zero

This has nothing to do with recruit servers. You (the server admin) can turn these features on and off on every difficulty -

Yeah it's not only Zombies but players, too. So if you play recruit other players will be able to see you through walls 200m (or more maybe, dunno) away. -

In recruit you'll have your peripheral dots everywhere on the screen and not only at the side of the screen. Veteran servers will more often have third-person or crosshairs disabled. Don't know what the differences between Reg, Vet and Exp is though. I'm interested, too :) -
This is not just because of Alpha. If you really need to restart EVERY time then it is something else. My char won't save maybe 1 out of 15 times or so. Have you tried different servers? As the dancing russian stated above maybe you are on an unofficial server?!
