If you use rags (without using desinfectant) there is a high chance of getting an infection, but yeah it's better than bleeding to death :) Just make sure to use real bandages in case you got them

You get a green sick status from taking antibiotics. This means you are actually getting better at the moment. Remember: status symbols will only appear if a status is changed. So if you are sick at the moment and you got no status symbol, it will then appear if you take antibiotics and change the status (healing)

If you play DayZ don't do anything else. You should even stop breathing - it could distract you! On a serious note: This happened to me several times aswell. For hours I don't see a player, the second I'm distracted or tabbed out they come out of their holes and start rambo'ing me over.....

Well you will be seen so easily with a motor helmet. Camofactor = 0.. even the green one. Wouldn't recommend using one at all. Needs no nerf in my opinion

There was a bug that did reset your controls if you change your (steam-)name. Not sure if it's still there. Keybindings are saved in the profile file located at ...Documents\DayZ Other Profiles\YOURNAME\YOURNAME.DayZProfile You could try just to delete it. If it's not recreated you could then validate your files through steam. If nothing helps I could pastebin my complete config for you. PS: There really is no button in the menu to reset everything to default? hrmmm

Most of the old high value spawn still exist like northwest airfield and also balota, but there are some more on the map. I'm sure someone here will help you with other spawns

There are a lot of download servers. Change yours if it really is down: Steam-->Settings-->Downloads-->Download Region

That's how steam works. Sometimes it just takes a while until the automatic update starts. If that's the case but you really want to update as fast as possible you can use the steps given by Fluxley

There are some randome outcomes of actions already in the game like an infection rate, but it would be very frustrating if the game will evolve into a RNG party. Immersion is a fine thing, but this is still the game and your suggestion is just too much. Imagine this: Now if a player gets randomly infected by getting hit by a zombie, he knows he made a mistake (getting hit by a zombie) and is more or less okay with it. On the other hand if you just want to eat something and try to open it with a knife (which is not really difficult at all) and he gets hurt, he hasn't done anything wrong but feels punished anyways. You could argue "well you didn't have a can opener" but this is what i mentioned above: this is too much and not worth the immersion. Regarding your ladder incident............ welcome to the great ArmA engine :D

Hapenned to me, too. But I think once you bandaged your wounds without using alcohol first and you got an infection, alcohol won't help anymore (even though it might say you used it to clean your wounds). In my experience so far if your character starts to moan the only way to get rid of it is by using multiple charges of antibiotics. To prevent this happening at all make sure to desinfect your bandages with the spray and clean your wounds with alc before applying the bandage. Also I could imagine there is a lesser chance of infection if you use the medical bandages from medi packs. Those are all just assumptions and could be entirely wrong :)

Like the animation of aiming with the M4 it's not very realistical. The position is just wrong and you wouldn't be able do control the recoil properly. It's just a game and it's fine for me the way it is, however I can understand that people with deeper knowledge of things like ammo type might get confused and thus I hope they will make some adjustments later on, but seriously I hope it's not very high in their priority list - there are more important things for the next few months

Yeah i know that it's supposed to work with the visual/physical model and not the crosshair, but it seems totally unrealistic and random for all melee weapons except for maybe the axes. The baseball bat for example swings quite through the middle of the screen with a good range, but hitting with in the first try seems really random...

"reasonable well".. oh dear... DayZ SA at the moment runs "reasonably well" for good specs. For all others you need to massively tweak the settings to get a playable framerate. It depends on what you consider "resonably well", but in my understanding of the term you won't find any rig <300 bucks to run it at the moment "reasonably well". Later if it's optimized it might be possible

Wrong. SA uses a modified version of the arma 2 engine. The engine got a massive overhaul for ArmA 3 and is not comparable to ArmA 2 or the one used in the SA. It's not a trivial thing to change the camera
