Try to find servers with low pings. Seems to make a big difference on load times. For me at least....

In the new stand-alone, do you think they will keep the current model of being able to freely move between servers? If so, how do you stop ghosting?

So you specifically saw a decrease in load times for Arma2? I am very seriously considering an SSD for a new gaming drive but I have always been concerned about the amount of benefit certain games would actually get from it. I would use it only as a game drive. I could care less how fast Windows loads.

The broken leg/respawn patch fix can't come soon enough can it?

Of course they won't. 1) They would never deny the sale. 2) Technically a different game. They have no leg to stand on to enforce.

How do I get it to work? I am pressing the button and I see the little Steam microphone icon pop on my screen but no one seems to be able to hear me in- game. I'm in direct channel and people are close enough as obviously I can hear them, so that's not the problem.

Regardless of how subpar the gun is its attached to, thermal should be removed from DayZ. Thermal is ridiculously OP.

Evaluating someone's "worth" is a valid consideration when asked to potentially lose your guy when they have everything to gain and you have everything to lose.

I don't even understand how they can ghost that quickly. It takes me forever to log onto a server and to hop twice to ghost someone....you must have stayed in that one spot for like 10 minutes.

People have posted all sorts of setting adjustments and video flushes they say help for them, but I've tried them all and nothing works.

I haven't played them all, but the M14 is an awesome weapon.
