    Namalsk Mines

I had a right barny with some expert DayZ players in a Namalsk server. They had no clue there was an underground tunnel on the map! They used very colourful language trying to make me look a fool! When they find out the truth I will happily accept the karma from them, nobheads!

    DayZ singleplayer

Where did you get that info from?

    Farming.

You want to set up a farm in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? On an island yes, I can see it as being a trading island, the only area of safety on a map! I say safety but this would have to be regulated by players. All rules off when off the island.

    End of game Scenario

O.K this may seem a stupid idea but bear with me please. Many people who play this game are frustrated with the fact after you get all the stuff there is very little else to do. I for one think your being a little short sighted if your excuse is "all i can do is kill players" Let us look at the community we have in the forums alone, lots of players of all styles and trying to enjoy the mod / game as best we can. What I would like to see would be a community driven mission plan / procedure! Players or groups who want to try something new could create a thread and then state a mission. Do you want to rescue a hostage from somewhere? perhaps a fellow player is trapped in a location and you have to extract them, meanwhile the hunter team is out to kill you all regardless? Escape and Evasion, from hunters and Zeds! Bandit tin hats. Capture a bandit hostage and tin him to death, empty tins now have a use. Imprison the Noobs. Find and imprison the Noob running around Cherno, not as easy as believed. Seek and Destroy! Admin have a chopper, mission is to find and destroy chopper (Then get kicked off server lol) Cops and Robbers, Hunt down each others team, last man standing is team who wins. Perhaps you could team up or play solo while trying to attain a certain item? say for eg a box of antibiotics, a Muffin, a Hetsteak and Potato pie in the NWAF air tower, try to keep hold of them as long as you can!! All this would take would be a Thread, Stickied with place of challenge within a given time slot. all players welcome to a server with active admin. You could argue that Arma 2 has some of these as seperate mods and such, but I am Suggesting this inside DAYZ! Run by the community, For the community. The possibilities are endless all is needed is player involvement to prolong the DayZ experience

    DayZ singleplayer

I asked for this the other day, with some decent points for and against. There are people out there like myself who would love to play the game offline, whether for training of just to experience he claustrophobia of a zombie apocalypse. It won't take Anything from the game it will add to it, even better would be the game which allows you to host the game for you and your friends. Safety and the dayz experience. I could see the single player as bait (kerching) for a new group of customers, ones who would appreciate being catered for. Get your head around that BI and Rocket n co.

what do you do with beans?

    graveyard for posterity.

    Gore. Gore. WE NEED GORE!

hell yeah for the body remains!
  9. No I literally mean standing near them and shouting through chat "Bang"
  10. So can i run around shouting out "Bang" and "Boom" and this will set off the timer? This will piss some players off, just as they want to log off i come up from behind them and shout "Ratatata" spoiling their day.
  11. The mod will not die, If terh community runs with it after SA release it can only get better. look what they have done for the mod since certain groups got hold of it. It will expand and it will be funny watching people buy Arma 2 all over again because the mod adds things faster than SA and is more experimental.

    Be jealous. Be very jealous.

what?!?!? No "hello there" amazing what a promotion will do!!

    Airplane - Fighter

^^^^^^^ what he said. are you Sergy?
  14. Michaelvoodoo25

    This is your story

The SA will roll out new stuff over the course of its life. Suggesting ideas is always a good idea and can add a fresh approach to the game play. The mod changed every time a new patch was released some good and some bad (Glitching, remember that?) I doubt highly there will be micro transactions in DayZ. I leave before that happens.

    Gathering

You can survive without going into towns etc, good idea though having more consumable food stuffs. I'm sure there will be some surprises in the SA with regards to food. if not on release but later on like fish, fruit and vegetation.

Remove shaking from sickness/low body temp

Are you on Namalsk? it's a fucker of a map. It does serve a purpose so removing it would be tantamount to heresy. No offense but it works and embellishes the experience.

    End of game Scenario

I do that every other day! From MV's Taxi service to MV's medic supplies to MV's weapon dealer. I got the idea from all the whiny muppets who have no imagination and moan about "theres nothing to do" I have seen in the past the event hosted by some, which I did enjoy, especially the church service that went tit's up! I suppose if people spoke more about what they did or organsied there would be no need for a thread?! people would just immitate. That is too complicated for me! Are you Hitting on me? do you want my body?
  18. Michaelvoodoo25

    End of game Scenario

And no, shooting a chopper down with a Makarov is not allowed!
  19. Michaelvoodoo25

    Zipties

sorry but i read douche tape at a brief glance!! welcome back Hetstaine. we used to do that to local drug dealers only we didnt shoot them we left them on the M62 tied to a light post, naked.

    New items

Some of those ideas, are ideas rocket has mentioned for possible inclusion to the SA at perhaps a later date. I can see the benefit of this, I would love ot walk through Cherno at night with street lighting on. Let the fuel wars commence!

Hosting DayZ from within the S.A.

I would like to suggest we as consumers could host DayZ from within the Standalone when it comes out. I used to play the Novalogic Delta Force games and they allowed you to host a game from within so me and my friends could all play together. (free from Hacking and so forth) The benefit to this was the fact I (we, my friends and I) didn't have to pay server providers money in order to play together. We had options on what we wanted to play, what map, weapons, time limits etc. We could even password the game so other less desirable people could not get in. this offers a better gaming experience to the existing one provided, which is all non conforming and splintered into just as many different ways of playing. private or public servers all offer different things so why not just offer the DayZ consumers the choice to host their own games free of charge? rocket (Don't you think it's time you used a capital R?) has highlighted the industry on many occasion and has revealed that he would like the community to lead in this area, I would expand on this and ask him to give us the tools or permission to host our own games free of server providers (no names mentioned but no offence either) money has to be made and sponsorship, but I don't think much is generated from server hosting who are, lets face it, in it for the money and not the original developers! I am not sure on technical specs for hosting a game, but what if you could, as mentioned D.F. was piss poor of a game but the personal hosting was brilliant and non demanding from a P.C. point of view, It the SA is being streamlined to suit and give better performance then I'm sure the technical stumbleing block could be bypassed. You could host the game from your p.c. and your m8s could join and you all play together, resources being shared between each users computers lightening the load. Ask your self, would you like to host DayZ for free? would you and your friends benefit from this? It has always amazed me how people are willing to pay for hosting a game they had to pay for in the first place (in general, I know i didn't pay for DayZ) Why is this?

Hosting DayZ from within the S.A.

Cheers again for the how to, but I was only suggesting that hosting ability could be included in the Standalone. I would love to host games for Forum members and friends, you know where we all just link up and play together without no extra cost being incurred. Why should others profit from hosting when it is not going to the Dev / support teams

Hosting DayZ from within the S.A.

oh, can you host the Mod from your computer, so you and your friends can play together? You open up DayZ and host a game? Pray tell me how to do this! :P
  24. Now just calm down, no need for the graveyard just yet! I love DayZ, have done since I got it in June. I have always wanted a game like this and was ecstatic when I found out about it. I could think of only one thing I would introduce. What I would like to know is why no dayz single player release? Specifically with the SA? I like to play games by myself now and again, where would be the harm in a single player game? Not everyone would want to play online every time! It would help in online playing gradually building up to playing online. Just throwing it out there and wondering why one of the best games in history (IMO) has no single player version, think of the things you could do with this. It could be used to expand and dare I say profit from. Not everyone wants online games!
  25. Michaelvoodoo25

Why no single player option rocket?

Yeah, Mods I am sorry if this brought up any links to the SP but that was not my intention. It would just be nice to have a Single player element to the game, That is all i meant, As stated I would benefit to a cut down version for my offline gaming even if it was the mod. I can see this being done after the SA release as i think the community will expand on the original rocket idea and offer us the chance to play DayZ offline with a different set of experiences from the online version.
