You would not get many dedicated players! SOme servers actually stop spawning items the longer they host, no-one sticks around long enough for it to be useful. Server host can choose when to reset and most do it around the 4 hour mark.

Simple items like this could alter peoples perceptions of games, and I'm sure with censorship in many different countries being so varied, some people may abuse the game. Like being tied up and dangles from a lamp post with a criowd of Zeds awaiting dinner. Or being kidnapped by less scrupulous players and continuously tortured over and over again. Realistically it won't happen. -

Go play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Pripyat was the best) you'll find a whole range of monsters to attack you, and not too dis-similar form DayZ. I think you must have passed this game as most of you did. DayZ would not be what it is without having INFECTED things. no need to add other fictional beasts. Lets add packs of wolves and also bears for futher scare factor. I always thought DayZ would be better if it was a little more E&E (or Behind Enemy Lines to the non Military speaking crowd)

Seriously are you on drugs? The guy is on holiday, do you call work when your chiling out on a bona fide holiday? you that sad? I don't recall a promise from rocket either, if the guy is going through issues let him work them out. Nothing Warzzzz related will impact the SA. Warzzzz is doomed and will fail once the SA is out, fact. If anything the gaming industry is corrupt, remember the reviews Warzzzz got before release? all new and shiny goodness, only the other day the same reviewers were warning players to stay away for dear life. People are going to be waiting a long time for Warzzzz to improve. There is anough Steam (pun intended) for DayZ to ride the success of the mod and be a great title in it's own right. the recent (and future) negative publicity of WarZ will benefit the SA. (Why else are WarZ fans here waiting on news for SA?) Rocket as far as i know is Bohemia, he works for them does he not? and Warzzzz is now considered an Industry JOKE.

If there is one thing this community has is communication. Anyone who dosen't see this is blind or is looking in the wrong place. Just one of my posts the other day got a reply from rocket himself, stating he would not release the SA unless it was finished. problem is some people don't spend a lot of time here and don't see the communications going on. There has been a hell of a lot more information from the sources than bigger title releases. rocket has many times and even in public stated what he wants to do for this game, just go and look at the suggestions threads. All those ideas and the ability to implement them into the SA will take time even for the simplest of them. I'm not a personal friend of rocket, but they guy is on Holiday, he is having time to relax, leave him to it, the only issue i have with rocket is his notable avoidance to "HIS" games' forums, he seems to prefer tweety and t'other one. Do you not think he is a little stressed due to not holding up his end of the bargain? rocket does not strike me as someone who would lie considering his ability to say what he thinks and not what the crowd want him to think. No-one want's DayZ to fail. But on some levels it will fail, Have you all forgotten about the updates we had for the MOD? some of them were game breaking, I remember lots of players moaning and crying and leaving because they couldn't adapt and see the game beyond the faults and issues. How many times must we reply to those threads "Been away, has anything changed?" they still come back. People leave games all the time, but come back when they havent found what they are looking for in other games. (Look at all those who left here for Warzzzz, only to come back and switch allegiances) Remember when the SA comes out there will be trial and error still as it will be a work in progress very much like the MOD (only a better knowledge and understanding of the new engine) Some of you seem to think the SA release will be a fully completed game, It won't. If you do think it will be a final product, then you are in for some pain. It won't matter how long it takes, just let them do what they need to in order to get the job done. There will be issues regardless o the time taken to release it, there will be tears. Deal with it, I don't see many of you even knowing how to do anything with regards to producing a game, It's easier to sit back and be judgemental.

If you don't like it, don't use it. How hard is it, Just because it is used to benefit some people does not mean it's a problem. people are gonna moan no matter what. I do agree the FOV needs addressing though. -
yes, players should be able to climb onto house roof's. Seeing scared Bambies on house roof's unarmed will make my day, and open up a new sniper training school.

I thought Taviana was a biggish map? I thinks Chernarus is the biggest still. Celle is small, but it was a good map too.

Sound's like heaven! The negative side effect would be the sound, they should be loud to hear from a DISTANCE. This would even out the benefit of having one, picture most Zeds lore which has a generator (for lights, power, food etc) they are always Zed congregation points. They would only be used for quick use facilities, like powering your Batteries or jump starting a car (Let's face it they have been stood over 5 years, the batteries will be deader than the infected) I would frown on long term use due to fuel consumption requirements.

Colour HUD according to humanity + proper body inspections + zombified survivors

I like the idea of a coloured HUD for humanity, however how would you know what colour everyone else is? When you press P for example? Take out the concept of humanity and let players dress how they want and play as they want. this will solve the humanity problem. People don't know in RL who has a negative stature unless you personally know them, so in game you should not need another standard Goodie V's Baddies mechanism. Seriously, being good and bad can be more grey than black and white. -
Aggressive animals, dead zombie players, some kind of "dungeons" to raid?

I had months of great gameplay raiding other players camps, when the SA comes out I will have fun raiding other players underground bases (Or when they add it to the SA) you could call them dungeons considering some of the members on here and the sick perverted stuff they suggest! :P Dangerous animals should be added as part of the survival aspect, adn it makes pretty much sense also, Russia is well reknowned for its Bears and other wildlife. adding them will be a check for those who live in the woods and don't come out. (On the note of Russia, they should change emprty Whisky bottles to empty Vodka bottles) Characters changing into a Zed would be too strenuous on the engine, also if you died by infected your gear would carry the infection also, so you would have ot actually risk contracting the infection for your stuff would make the hardiest think twice. -
5.1 for me, used a few times on a night when the people need to sleep. I 2nd the need for a good soundcard too, or the headsets are just crud.

Good god, another display of players for the psychiatric ward. Though some minor bleeding animation would be appreciated, anything other than the current Strawberry jam fountains the player displays. -
Drving straght into players with weapons is never a good idea!

How much ammo/weaponry to carry?

2x bandages, rest M1911 rounds 6 clips of ammo for rifle in main inventory and a further 3 in my backpack. (Semi not auto firing) I never carry a 2nd weapon in backpack, space is more usefull for medic or engineer supplies. -

I know the community will go lots of different directions, But Honestly I think S.T.A.L.K.E.R. elements should belong in their own games. Speaking as a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan in general. I have never seent the benefit of crossing elements from other successful games together! I know this is a DayZ forum, but people should check out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games out for themselves, they really are great games, just like DayZ. -

Buy it now, sale on steam. As I tell othgers who pos tthe same question, there is so much more to Arma 2 than DayZ, check out Wasteland mod and some of the many others, even ArmA 2 is greta to play when you want a intense simulation of military life (bar the copious ammounts of alcohol) -

Wouldn't this promote server hopping? "Oh no i been caught by HETSTEAK, I'm screwed, I know, I'll hop to another server" Or could you lengthen the combat timer so your victim could not just log and run? The only good thign about cuff's are the ability to make Zombie bait. Imagine being dangled from a tree.
