    The Body Icon (With Concept Art)

    A good idea, really But....it's still a great idea and all, but have you considered different colours for wounds / infections? If a player got shot and an infection or broken leg you would not know you have certain injuries unless there was a on screen notice / action / sound. I would like to see this also on a seperate page / tab but with a history of injuries / bruising, I think it would add to the experience as my characters live longer than a month thease days.

    So what are your plans for Standalone

    God, some of you are just so Imaginative, Wheres all the gung ho loonys who want to run through Cherno strip bollock naked? those last few rebels who wanna tie their mates choppers to a tree just above the zed grab line? Or a psycho medic who gets to his patient and strips them down and insists it is payment for recovery? Bandits who actually rob you but leave you in precarious positions?

    Engine Makes me Cry

    the SA will make improvements for this. and have you played with the settings? there are a lot of tweaks in order to improve the FPS, have a look around, you may find what your looking for.

    Anything to block Zeds

    What? Where do they spawn in buildings? Ive been playing since release and never seen a zombie spawn inside a building. I've seen them chase you into and follow into buildings but never spawn in one. Yes currently they spawn out of thin air. In fact when you enter an area wih buildings you can see them pop out of nowhere sometimes.

    do zeds spawn per player? Now imagine x 40 zeds per player spawn x 150 players........ Chernarus+ had better me bigger vhan current or ot will be a crowded place.

    Anything to block Zeds

    Zombies should spawn everywhere, stopping you from cordoning off areas, Even spawning in buildings as I am sure lots of players in the SA will want a house of their own. all those new enterable buildings should be death traps. If it is possible to block zed access, there whould be large crowds of them around the blocked areas, highlighing something of interest to other players and inevitably Snipers. A target is a target.

    Dying and the Consequences-SA

    Each life is a new life, Players should be blocked from trying to take their stuff from a previous dead body. that or make the dead body dissapear after 10 mins. It is a game breaker for me, kills the survival aspect. I will never understand why players run straight back to their former body for kit, when loot is widely available, You wouldn't know it was there. I did suggest in a previous post the new player after death should load up on another server and be blocked from re-joining. this would serve as a reminder to play safe and not reckless.

    So what are your plans for Standalone

    You'll be lucky, they can barely sniff their own arses. I wonder if we destroy underground bunkers will the landscape correlate? A few sink holes here and there? would make nice building points for traps. I am gonna build a new system first so i can benefit the SA. It will be one of a few games i actually play. In the meanwhile I will follow one of the hundred Streamers to get my bearings. I find caution the best method.

    Ask a Wasteland Medic for assistance, they specialise in helping players, though I suggest you let go and practice some more. It is not hard to find food and water, you need to prioritise.

    Really confused about Day-Z

    Best thing to do is contact BE. Out of interest have you accessed any other maps beside this one? can you get access to others? I had an issue where i was kicked from a server all the time but on occasion i could get in (When it had less players in)

  17. When the SA comes out there will be a lot of reasons to continue to play DayZ mod. Look at the variety of game play you can have with the mod as it is, the SA will be limited to map and content upon release. With a whole range of maps available for the mod there will be lots to look forward to. I find having servers with 50+ vehicles a great way to play as it offers less competition for vehicles in the SA. SA devs stated vehicles will be phase 2 of development for the SA, Although vehicles will end up being better (Mad Max style?!) we can still enjoy the mod for availabiliy. As most people will play Chernarus + in the SA, some players like the variety of maps available, take Lingor, and taviana, they are great maps and offer different ways of playing. Only having one map is limiting and as it is practically the same but with more enterable buildings and a few new places, bordom may set in. on the plus side there will be more maps for the SA and they will be officially released maps so less likely to be buggy and unplayable (I hope) If it wasn't for the Hacking and the engine limitations in the Mod, there would be no need for the SA IMO. It is being supported by the community also which means more mix and matching for more variety of play. Look at servers available, there are lots of different ones for different types of players, which is good. I think the Mod will have lots more to offer after SA release, and hopefully some details will cross over to the SA, particularly details that work and have player acceptance. I hope ideas can be bounced off each one to give us the players more choice. I often wonder about the poor souls who only own the SA, they will be missing out on a rich history and some great maps (Until new maps are introduced into the SA) It would be a shame to let it go to waste. With primary attention on the SA the mod may go in directions players feel the SA lacks and be more experimental. Either way it is early days yet, we will have to wait and see.

    Game help please

    Has the server been restarted in a while? Have you tried different servers to compare? If your getting errors are you playing with the right versions? try reinstalling DayZ Commander and updating again. alternatively restart DC and try again. I have only had the problems of no stuff when i didn't do the DC reset. I have never known weapons to be rare at all.

    Sanctuary

    AKA safezone. AKA shop. It's going to make it too easy for players by offering them a place to be safe. A primary point of the game is to survive and find loot, not to give the player the luxury. As mentioned there are some freeside traders and I myself have traded in game a lot of times in a safe manner simply by asking in side chat. Currency in this situatin would be foolish, what use is money / currency if everyone has the same chance of obtaining it? Raids are carried out already for less, players are gunned down in vehicles with limited loot, even Bambi's are taken out for bandages which are easy to obtain so there is no need for convoy raids (have you seen the swathes of dead players around chopper crash sites?) Now It seems to me to be a suggestion from a Warzzzz player, but remember the differences in the games are whav makes the games unique. No cross over elements are needed, certainly not Warzzz ones which have been proven to be bypassed and abused.

    Group spawning, hear me out

    No special treatment for teams, Unless you run your own server or there is a community war server. You gotta play fair with the rest of the players, Bandits, survivors, medics and the rest dont get any benefits, teams should not either. Your thrown into a situation you cannot control, If you die, you don't magically spawn where you can take advantage of your previous life. I personally believe in game communication should be done in game and no ts or other tools to aid you in it. the field is balanced against you as it is, It should be hard to find your friends who lets face it you wouldnv have in an apocalypse. But that is my personal opinion anyhow.

    Botany; Plant Collecting & Analysis.

    I would love Botanical elements to DayZ, It is one of the survival factors missing to make it a truly survival game. I would love also to use medicinal plants and cobwebs for medical use too. However this idea will take a long time to impliment, a very long time due to variety and coding.

    Yeah I would like a few more boats in game. I would love to have row boats in where in order to move them you have to press Q and E keys repeatedly like the old sports games in order to move and steer. Submarines? Hell no, players will then want under sea bases.
