No, Mr Fraggle, :P I need a computer, full stop, I have a Laptop with a non functional "t" key, I gotta copy and paste everytime i need a t! And theres no way this lappy will run DayZ in it's current incarnation, so I am getting DayZ withdrawl symtoms here.

the mod will live on, there are people who love it (Bugs and all) I only hope the mod will be used efficiently for Possible improvements to the SA. AND I love the fact, the Mod's and dev mods actually communicate on these forums. It gives a real sense of community!

these radios! How you gonna be able to tune into a friends channel? could there be a specific number or open channels? Imagine the fun you could have stalking a group when you find a channel!

A famous saying: "there is nothing new under the sun" What DayZ has done is bring an accesible apocalyptic simulator to game players. Yes there are many zombie games out there, but most are non survival based and just shooters. If something terrible happened with a zombie scenario, you can pretty much say, whats in DayZ will be what it is like in a survival situation. Resources would be your first priority and protection also. I do many survival weekends, You and your mates stuck in the middle of nowhere with only what you take and what you find to eat, we also go Urban exploring, Finding places to go and "explore" we have found some old dis-used and abandoned places which remind me of DayZ and Stalker. the thrill of RL activities similar to the feeling of DayZ. the only difference is no infected or zombies. I have RL bases in hidden pockets of the Moors, Lakes and Yorkhire dales were I can escape from the crap of daily life if need be. For me DayZ is original in how it makes players feel, this is one reason people don't like DayZ because it takes away their comfort blanket, making them feel more than many other games do.

the world of DayZ can be confusing sometimes, all the new maps, rumours, Gossip. We need the DayZ police to monitor and make sense of it all.

You know them games that are successful and people buy because they know they are great? Farcry, Half Life, Crysis etc, DayZ will define a genre and be highly reccomended by all who review it. It will never get anything below 8/10. Considering the work and effort on the Mod, the SA will surpass it. Many more players are waiting for the SA than probably played the Mod (Considering 1.5 million registered players, this is frightening)

You would have to allow all players access with simple tools if you make a building secure. there will be a shortage of buildings if everyone closes off all decent buildings.

Wolves and Bears in the woodland, would be realistic and more original than some monster / bogey man / Vegetarian Bigfoot. those survivalists, need something to keep their toes warm.
