    I love that car, However, don't plan on it being there when you get back, I have had loads go missing on me. It's kinda hard running a taxi service with no taxi.

    Why banditing?

    When I first got the mod, there was very little killing going on, then when the mod exploded and everyone bought it Killing / banditing was a norm. I won't put blame on any particular group, but, when most games out there are FPS type of gameplay, you will inherit that mentality. Players will naturally bring that into DayZ.

    It has to stem from some psychological deficiency in their heads. How else could you sum up a person who's instinct and preffernce is to kill, Wether real or virtual! Sorry I was reffering to killer bandits, Not the real bandits who mug you. (they are just chavs)

    Classes and player built towns

    Are you suggesting that players learn the class system through their lives to be carried over to the next? A. Not realistic, You die, you lose all things learned. Players will have to start again each life (Why waste time classing up?) or, B. You learn as it is by carrying out certain actions, class would play no part if all players are going to be able to do it anyway. why introduce a system where everyone can do it? (I'm thinking coding and resources best used elsewhere) With regards to in game Co-operation, In game communication is flawed, No methods of communication unless you have ts / other chat stuff (Radio's will be a while and I highly doubt side chat will make it in SA) this will limit any interaction until communication is added. It seems to me easier for players to be what ever class (ie bandit, medic, driver etc etc) they choose to be, but having a system and structure would be pointless IMO of course.

    how to fix weird stopping/starting?

    Have you tried Game booster? It stops background programs from running while playing games and streamlines games when running them. Only other thing I would suggest is msconfig and learn what to untick. It does sound like lag a little.
  13. Q: How are zombie spawns going to work? A: We're probably going to spawn all zombies + loot at the start of the mission on the server to decrease lagspikes and to remove the spawning issues we had. This also allows the potential for the whole "roving zombie" crap people keep harping on to me about (seriously, I get facebooked every day with this one request). Q: Doesn't that mean all zombies will eventually be killed?     No classes needed. Lifespans are limited as it is, A noob with an Axe could chop your class player up and take all his stuff, no skill involved. If your building your character up in skillsets to improve over the course of It's life, your gonna lose everything. Most characters dont live long so why introduce lines of code for specialities like being able to fix up an engine to a high degree It would be easier to just have players need more tools for a trade in order to be able to carry out activities to a high degree. eg, a medic with morphine can stem the pain, But he cannot replace blood as he has none, One with a wide range of items can do a lot more, so therefore he is better at his "Class" Your dude or dudette should learn everything by doing them and repeating it as and when required, no need to improve on. Let's say i was doctor, I could be killed by anyone at anytime, In fact I'd say certain bandits look for high value targets like docs' If your part of a clan how would this benefit other players? Your team would specialise in one of the many classes and be self reliant. I would like equal footing for lone wolfs and team players. On the other hand... I would love to see a large forest / Jungle map where players could build bases (Similar to that mod which lets you build them. Nice and flattish so you could just go off into the wilderness and find a suitable location. Build your dream base and then the server lets loose everyone onto it (Bar hacking activity) this would be worth playing on, good bases will stand up to attack whereas bad ones will be plowed away like driftwood. Building a base is a long way away for the SA (As stated in Q&A) We can all dream................

    EASY MODE!

    DayZ needs to be Hard, Where would a survival challenge come from if it was easy? It is after all a survival game. there are easier games out there, But none of them go into the detail or experience of DayZ, for me it is about the experience,. Once the SA is released I hope there is a server for every whim, PVP, no PVP, Hunvers guild, RPG etc etc very much like the Mod. But I can play with the big boys and not mind as the game is meant to test your ability to survive with the odd's stacked against you.
  17. Rocket mentioned it would take ages to make a map with snow on, a complete overhaul would have to be taken. Every asset would have to be reworked (Snow on roofs, vehicle coverings etc) I do not agree with this idea anyway, where is the continuity when seasons change, as you describe for example, Autumn, leaves dropping of the trees, golden brown hues, animals rare, then BANG white everywhere. It's a bit quick. If there are goin to be Winter maps, leave them at that, let players decide which map they want to play on. they could change them as per real season if desired.

  19. Hell no, NO achievements in this game please. Permadeth not perma points. In nature you will find scavenger animals around dead corpses, whether big or small there is fact for this to be in game. You have flies in game, you would have larger animals also like foxes and birds (Rats have been tested already) I would like to see infected eat the dead bodies and leave a pile of gear / loot. less for nature. there will need to be an option for burying body for the more self consious / friendly players (Which wil include drag body option also)

    A Range Of Behavior

    It is very rare I KOS, I am more of a friendly player who wil go out of their way to help and aid other players in a tough spot. I have played on many servers with low player counts and find them to be better for team based play, You can just jump on chat and meet up and go raiding easier than if the server was full. On servers where full or high in players, the total opposite, trying to be a freindly player on these servers is nigh on impossible. Bullets everywhere. Map's with more players on are paranoid places. Depending on what style I want to play (Usually taxi / medic) I can cater via server player numbers. there is also the concept of strength in numbers, clearly players team up for back up and social aspects, I have found more Bandits in all my DayZ playing time in teams than I have alone. I rarely met a bandit who was not with company. the correlation of bandit and also negative behaviour coward (As op described his mate B ) is apparent to me. If I see teams of 2 or more I duck and cover untill they pass. (Side note: I can usually tell bandits also by them not chatting in side, Servers which tell you who killed who always have the names of the guys who don't chat) Strength in numbers is akin to a company of weak people!

    More ways to gather food and water

    I have never ever run out of food on DayZ Mod. With all the new additions for the SA and new animals I doubt we will run out of food. If food is rare, Players will be forced to explore around. I only hope the newly planned Mod mechanic for consumption is not in the SA. It would be nice to take pumkins and other foods from locations. Water can be contaminated now with the addition of defaction and urinating, I believe there will be means to purify or clean contaminated goods (Clothing inc') As stated many times, It is still early days, so who knows?

  25. Yeah a friend had it and he was always moaning how it never looked like anything he was seeing on youtube and at our houses. Drove him mad, He's now a Bandit.
