    I would like players to know that when the SA comes out not all of the features you read about will actually be in the Standalone release! Rocket and co have mentioned some of these ideas and suggestions will have to be looked at after release and some of them later on, if at all. Reading through the forums a lot of people seem to think the SA will be the game to beat all other games, with features galore and this and that. Following the Minecraft model means improvements and additions over time and only if they are successful. Remember we have very little confirmed but at least we have constant communications from Mod and Devs. Don't be spitting out your dummies because you got your wires crossed and didn't get base building or other features to a T. Some features I'm sure will take time, so be patient and be happy with what you get on release day.

    A new DayZ

    I do think it will be a great idea, but not DayZ related, there is nothing DayZ related. DayZ related is a Survival game with a dash of (At the moment) ineffective infected AI, not Dinosaurs. all i can see is an Arcade experience. this is simply another mod for Arma 2 with elements of DayZ and Dinosaurs. In itself it's acts as an alternative game to what already exsists. I have to question the mechanics though. Dinosaurs are huge bohemoth creatures, Crossing military aspects with Dino's I find confusing. Your standard gear will haev to be m107's just to take any sufficient damage to them. With the scale of dinosaurs and the fact you can only use Carnivores as a reliable enemy (Herd instinct as a defensive element also) wheres the challenge? Your player is going to do is run around and kill. there will be limited survival aspects. All i see is Primal Carnage which does the whole human Vs dinosaurs a lot better than DayD ever could. IMO of course.

    Little things to do in the SA

    What about single players? It's a great idea for teams, but with so many team suggestions and little single player / lone wolf ideas, there would be less for lones' to do beside the everyday surviving. Nothing against your idea mate but if DayZ goes more team based with team features, the lones' will miss out on more than team based ideas. Every player will be able to do everything but team based stuff. Not really immersive for us who don't want to be in a regular team.

  11. A good range of weather will make it great, One of the things that drove me to the game was the ability to wander around. As long as I can still see where I am going no issues. Because it is the apocalypse I don not see the need for a darker atmosphere weather wise, the world will still go on as normal without people, dilapidation will affect the look of the landscape, but vhe sky will do as it wishes. tbh, Every little tweak to DayZ SA will mean a longer delay for us to get our grubby little mits on it

    Well I hope there are feet issues, like Atheletes foot etc, If it is just a performance boost, Give it 2 weeks and players will have best in all wear. Oh and Orlok, Magnum Boots are door breakers, Very good brand.
  15. Gives use to the crowbar at least. Buildings like this would be high risk, keeps you on your toes. I wouldn't mind more variety with exsisting buidings, as of now its > fire station, look near boxes, peg it for the stairs, crap on 2 levels and maybey sommat good on the third > heart drops, run away.

    SA DayZ: No Modifications? [POLL]

    Keep it closed to all and sundry. If rocket allows access were all doomed. the Mod is fractioning into different areas and types of gameplay, leave it and lets play as Dean envisioned. If server side options are done right hackers can be kept at bay to some level. I have been reading up on certain sites where they question the security. Plans are afoot even now with claims of stupid activity. What struck me was "their" lack of love for the game 9and general gaming) and just to do it as "something to do" Allow no-one, if hackers are going to get in, make it hard for them. If 0=0 but your getting 0=1 kick the feckers.

    When I dropped my backpack and forgot to transfer gear, I broke my leg a few mile down the road and had no morphine, it was a long crawl back that day.
