Why not just add a nuclear powerstation in the game and have a valid reason for lighting? On atuo run. or player maintained? I would love lighting in towns, would add some real scares with being blinded by light and having to give it time when running out again.

As I say many, many times. Buy it, buy it soon. there is more to Arma 2 than DayZ, much much much more. Other mods, even other zombie mods, lots to play with. When the SA finally gets here there will be a community still working on the Mod. Improvements and new additions. I also love the fact there are so many maps for the Mod whereas maps for the SA will probably take a back seat due to development and improvements. We will get maps for the SA just after a while. Buy it and be a part of it, you will love it.

I would love a special edition with some of the behind the scenes footage in, But as mentioned before no hard copies would rule that out. You know rocket if you released some footage like this people would be happy! it's an update either way, I hope you are documenting the development! -

I don't expect a finished game, when it is released, with updates and additional material working its way into the game, I for one will expect cock-ups now and again. I can take solace it will be fixed faster than the Mod, due to paying customers. testing the updates before release will ensure updates don't break the game any more, they will have time to work on fixing quicker as there will be just a few working on it like the mod. All i ask for is a working game that makes me want to play it. -

I did a lot of crawling around, learning limits and visablility of enemys, Once you learn this you become more profficient. I once played solely on the beach, I would wander up and down the coast helping out new spawns and being shot at for evasion practice. -
I think rocket said he wanted to add elements for teams but that was a long time ago, Hope down the line it gets dropped, every player in DayZ should have the same rules. Start alone I can see your point though, most team players would like to spawn near each other and Bond and slap each others bums. ;) :D

I was being sincere ,but anyway I meant no offence by it Zombie hit / Strength is good I think, no other game gives you a zombie punch where you are on the floor with broken bones, where you are in a world of pain when your surrounded or in a building or anywhere you get close. For me Zombies are a thing to be avoided anyway, vhey are a threat in the game and should be as they are now bar gliching through walls and other errors. Until the engine can be overhauled for the mod or SA (Being done as we speak by account of Smasht's update yesterday) zombie numbers are limited and can not added to, In fact when you have max number of zeds on screen at any given time your p.c. gets slower, this needs to be sorted out but alas it will only happen in the SA. More zeds means slower performance for the players. Please go into any town and aggro all the zeds and see the performance drop. Headshots- this just sounded like a warzzzz reference (Forgive me if i am wrong) When you come into contact with zeds you have to assess timing, it takes a lot longer to shoot them in the head than it does to drop them with direct body shots, our zeds are infected not shoot them in the head types. either way if they go down, job done. Ask yourself can you see yourself enjoying the game if they run like they do and you have to headshot them? I actually go for the head everytime as I like to test my abilities, so partially i agree with it, though not all the time. One thing i am looking forward to in the update patch is how they have made their running more straighter than currently, less zigg zagging, I only hope they add it in the patch. when this is done you will be more capable of headshots. Gore? yes please but again a balance has to be made for those players who are censored, I woul dlove to see more gore hands down but if vhe engine can't provide without a lot more work then I don't mind. I like how zeds work, yes the new update has befuddled their hearing and sight, It is common on updates finding that balance for the devs must be hard using the limited engine and code they have, It is easier to work with something and alter it than it is to re-write the code (Hence the SA delay) If they are more dependant on hearing and less sight this will take away some of the edge they have, infected people are affected different ways, not all will have better hearing, they can be mixed which is a good thing, it adds tension not knowing. Running zombies are far more threatening than shufflers, DayZ would not have been as popular if they just walked at you IMO. slow walkers are great too mind, but they would not offer any challenge, if you ran into a pub in cherno (or anywhere) you could be in and out before they stepped inside. wheres the fun in that? You could run away from them and not have any feeling of a threat, for some players even now runners do not offer any threat myself included. can you imagine the lag with more zombies all walking while playing? Edit: Have you read the update? zeds running inside buildings in the SA? this dynamic will change again the game and be more harder and more intense. My other points were based on a fact that you showed a video of a game more fitting for you to play. DayZ does not need to add elements of other games as it has it's own ways and means. If it adopted every game mechanic like the ones you suggested it would not be what it has become. As for my point on finding other games, this is common sense if people don't like what DayZ is, there are games out there probably more suitable for them. I have always had the impression DayZ is not like any other games out there, that for me is it's uniqueness, it should not be changed to follow other models. Yes it can learn from some but if you change the core values of what it is then there would be nothing uniqe about it. We have seen a game who's devs have copied a lot of the ideas and failed miserably. No need to prod and poke too much, you will see it in future updates, sometimes some changes are bad and some bring other problems with them. Are we still friends? :thumbsup:

I am always surprised when people on here post such things, Don't get me wrong I love that people are different and have a whole different requirement outlook. But have you considered DayZ is not the game for you? Can people not just accept it for what it is and not try to overhaul everything.Your requirements are like a certain other game you have know. perhaps you should try that? If not why not try another Arma 2 mod, there are a few with shuffleing zombies in. you may find what your looking for there. Perhaps you could get into modding and make a more slower DayZ clone? there is nothing like doing things your own way and It feels great when you achieve it.

DayZ SA is like an addictive substance, We are given a little, then we crave for more. Sometimes the dealer is in, sometimes he is playing KSP. When we can't get a fix, we go a little crazy. (Of course I mean that in a very nice manner)
