You want to be scared? Play DayZ in the middle of the night and in the dark (With or without headphones) that will scare most human beings. 2nd the no NPC notion, this game does not need them.

Be a bandit for a day, see how it works out for you, lose your kind ways and see the other side of the fence. I have learned many playstyles and and friendly until shot at. Practice will ease your load

I hope the game as and when updated through the year will allow more reasons to co-op. Most can remember the early dayz where people worked together and had real fun! I hope to see that again. However, bandits are a large part of the game in itself, so be it, only problem is there will be no way of identifying who is one. You all know that will mean a return to shoot first and ask later! Shame really. First time I spawn in chernarus + I would sooner be friendly than a KOS'er. -

I would just like some clarification that the Keys when issued are gonna be the same price, as the next batch? I don't expect I will be one of the first (too many others to consider, reddit, twitter and the rest of the world bar the forums >:( ) But I would like to purchase DayZ SA cheap as I will be following all through development come hell or high water. Are we going to be able to buy the first keys from Steam or what? or are they gonna be personally handed out (Press and everyone else) I can wait as long as it takes, what they have now is not up to standard (Floating cans, Night time req's modification, Zombies are camp etc.) take all the time in the world, other games out there to play in the meantime. After all, If you pay for a game, people expect a more refined game What I would like to see is player screen when you Loot another player, Is it gonna just show us the same as our players? or will we have to search each pocket to see what they are carrying in a menu like sytem? after all, when you murder someone they don't show you all their wares without some hand in pocket. It would add to the suspense when looting bodies in tense moments! ;) Another thing, do the vehicles drive like blocks of stone in Arma 3? Just port them in the meantime work can be done on them when you get to your Mad Max style. If you do a disclaimer like a few pages before you purchase and allow buyers to realise they are buying a non finished product, they will have nothing to moan about! Whenever it comes, It will be a great day in the gaming industry. -

SA: The solution to overground base building !
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to ponc's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I would never play on a map with players bases above ground. It is hard enough staying alive let alone giving players targets. I wonder also what the lag would be like while trying to render all the players above ground bases. Pretty slow I would say. -
DayZ SA: 'Small Fee for Updates'
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to Shrapnell's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Gotta be a warzzzz fan rant! Like it was last time on their forums. -
Well, there is a lot more to DayZ than weapons, new sytems and features hopefully will take away the KOS mentality, having no advanced weapons in the game is a good idea. Crafting items in game can (Potentially) allow players to make their own weapons and features, which is what I would like to see (Picture Metro styled weapons being made via players) Give the players a way and means to create their own "advanced weapons" to a degree without just having them lying around the floor of some crash site and barracks. Remember a lot of items will be broken when found and may need repair anyway. without the means to repair them an AS50 will just be a heavy stick. Same goes with vehicles, judging from the Blogs, most of the cars are too ruined to be salvaged for any parts, tools are needed for repair and fitting.

DayZ SA: 'Small Fee for Updates'
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to Shrapnell's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Oh this again, I REMEMBER it being up not so long ago People nothing to see here. -
When the SA comes out it will have ways and means to be a different kind of player (Medics, mechanics etc) Why this Idea would be OP I do not see. I have seen intricate traps set up for the sole purpose of a laugh so an idea as "unique" as this is not wierd just an expansion of a players idea and utilisation. Crafting is going to add a whole new dimension of gameplay for all invlolved, there would not be a point to crafting if we could not use our Imagination (And therefore spend a little too much time on one idea) On another note, when the radio comes into effect, we should be able to snare a Zed (Or even player) by turning on the speaker only and attracting the zed over a bear trap or tranq'ing it, set it up and let it go, Or if circuitry comes into play we should be able to use it as alarms and also sytems to entice players and Infected alike. I cannot wait, I will move on from Medic, taxi driver, to royal pain in the arse by being able to grief players and try out new ways of social anarchy. OP good idea and very practical. I remember FO3 and being able to put mines in their pants. (Simple but had great effect)

What should our next competition be?
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to mattlightfoot's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
When was the last competition? -
I like the Idea. Fallujah was a great map, but for its repetativness, After a while the same buildings and areas become a bit boring, A bit more detail would have been great. A large city map would be a great idea, and give it a Walking Dead and 28 Days later feel to it. Seriously who would not play that? Wasn't rocket a while ago saying he would like the next map to be a city type map? Fallout 3's wasteland was a stroke of genius for gaming also, great idea and greater effect put to good use.

I wonder where crafting will take weaponary? Could we make some great Mellee weapons? Spade and hedge trimmer head lopper? Defend against that you Motorbike helmet wearing chopper!

Day Z SA Mods?
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to fubar_in_pittsburgh's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I saw a post yesterday where a guy imported the Choppers from toh, All he did was copy and paste them over into his Arma 3 and he got workable choppers (pbo files i think) Had he found the sound files the transfer would have been complete. With the similarity of engine and uses for it I wonder if before long there will be a single player offline version (Server setting aside) and / or then an out break of people working around that and making some new content and such. Keeping the lid on the code will only work for a while, however i think this is the reason for the architecture havign to be so damned tight. -
Why is DayZMod still marked as "Alpha"?
Michaelvoodoo25 replied to tsandrey's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I was always under the impression the Mod was going to be the testing bed for the SA (Dunno why, perhaps that was the plan) All of a sudden the Mod was handed over to the community (A good thing in my eyes) and went it's own seperate way while adding beneficial things into the Mod and SA. Engine was overhauled and re-made for the SA and the SA is going down a seperate path all of a sudden with (What seems to me) no correlation to the Mod. Lets be honest most of the SA content is still top secret, So i wonder what from the Mod has not been added because of the SA secrecy? -
After watching the first of the 3 videos (With actual gameplay footage) I realised they were indeed a long way off from releasing a basic foundation game. From floating cans to mentioning night time play looked aweful. I think it is a wise way to release a game. Adding vehicle to it from the bat and finding more problems as you go is what caused a shitstorm with the Mod. If they are working n a logical approach with each implimentation then that's fine for me. We will be getting vehicle eventually so I can't complain. I get the impression we will have to use our feet more on the new map anyway, Driving everywhere kills the game for me, I missed so much on some of the maps released. Add to that all the new enterable buildings they have made will take up more time for all players. A great point also brought up no another thread was that if they release it as a foundation build then other players can experience it at the same time as us "experienced" players evening out the learning curve. I find this great but the only downside is if they have included new mechanics with items then we are going to get an imformation overload with all the new things we can do.

What happen to the zombies?

They will be an ongoing experiment -
Agree with Fraggle, After watching the PAX vids, I hope to god they take their time with it and not rush it.
