After months of 5 hours a day every day I had to let it slide or I would have killed it all for me like I did with Nirvanas' Nevermind back in the day.

I think they can, I asked a question a while ago about it and the whole sea level thing was a breaking point, whereas lakes are items in game, all it would take was someone with time and effort to make a river and have it dammed off from the sea and as an Item. a la river! Now I would love to see a cave system with underground rivers in them. Certain areas can be blocked off via water ways and players will have to dive through them (In the dark - or torch permitting) My base would be safe. Sewer system connecting (Like Goonies) a virtual maze underground full of areas in need of exploring and maybe, (Gets wild here) a secret underground installation from dubious experimentations with a possible cause to the Viral infection sweeping the land?

I will be honest, I have uninstalled the Mod and Arma 2 today, I want a fresh and clean experience when the SA hits. DayZ mod is as fresh now as it was before the huge rise in users (As shown on the graph) Anyone saying otherwise is fooling themselves, the work Razor and co have put into it is astounding and the community is better off for it, the mod will live on in its alternative guise when the SA hits, best of both worlds. I personally want to enjoy it all over again with the SA. I will still inform people and players of the Mods worth and value, SA aside.

And give them 2 weeks, they will become irrelevant again. Then players can moan about KOS and other players, because we all know how Zeds are more of a distraction than a fear factor. I would love some more new Zeds, but seriously without any challenging aspects, they become an annoyance. Let the devs play, once in a while they get it right! -

When the SA comes out, Yes there will not be much in it, Not a lot of weapons, Not any vehicles, Progress over a long time before it resembles anything like the Mod features. But there will be a lot more happy customers than the naysayers and "shoulda released it sooner" crowd. Get a life and realise there is more to life than negative replies. You could at least appreciate the hard work being done and the updates and information being given and shared, especially when they (the devs and co) don't have to do a damned thing. -

I had another look at this video and with everything else since I am getting jiggy in my chair. How about some caves like the Blansko cave area? BTW could we not have a devblog post with only devblog details and info in? No member posts but acting like a record of progress? Does anyone know why they cannot add rivers and streams? I recall early days when you could re-fill your canteen in the sea, surely you could add a river and alter the code to allow this? Yes I understand the huge task this would take but we have a swamp on the coast now, surely a river is possible or even capable. DayZ really would benefit from a river / stream. If dev's are adding any rocky formations we could have a stream around Willow lake and black lake feeding into the sea? or even One long river stretching from Petrovka as a tributary to north of Olsha I did not know there was a tesco in Chernarus, that has damned near ruined my view of a exotic rural europe, I thought we in the U.K were the only poor souls who had tescos. It would be nice to have a large supermarket on the map, I remember the big one in Fallout 3, Had to find food there but there were bandits waiting when finished. oh dear now I have to re-install Fallout 3. -

I hope it is better than the MOD, I recently purchased the components of a new system and the first thing I did was re-install the Mod, I was dissapointed with it. Perhaps it was that I have overplayed it in the past, but after a 5 month break I was expecting some drastic updates. But I am sure we all have bad days. Roll on the SA, Exploits or not, players will find chinks and exploit them, there will be new ways and means. I am expecting some issues with the SA, If rocket and co are working on it after release (Base building, Vehicles etc) I expect it to be broken a few times. -

Considering the crap he had to deal with on his Military experience, I think his "sadistic" streak is well founded, You have to experience trials and tribulations before you can portray them in an medium. It has obviously made him stronger and more knowledgable, than most, of such issues. All he is doing is putting certain experiences into a game and look how good it can be! I only dream other developers do games / programs on experiences, we may have more than plain old shoot em ups and drivel released these days. I just hope it is more refined compared to the MOD. I will be honest, I like most have become bored of DayZ and only hope the cycle of intense experience returns after the SA release. It is only the potential and upcoming updates and changes that will keep me on board. So far so good but, I am getting a bit long in the tooth with Chernarus. I only hope Chernarus + is more engaging. Oh and Zombies, I do hope the SA zombies are a world apart from the ones seen in games nowadayz, I need to fear them more than skirt around them as we do now. -
Flash them then Tango slap them, their faced would be hilarious, ps if you kick a zombie in the nuts, what happens? Is that why they zig zagged?

I think you should be able to break down home made security measures via having a selection of tools. add a chainsaw and most houses will have new doors in the side. no need for a lock or metal plates then (the server will be ruined in a day) As for defence, A good location would be suitable or a simple grenade could cause a lot of damage, I am talking about location, gradient, position, by / near water supply etc. I think a great idea for buildings is to allow tunneling into them, having no obvious way in would enhance the experience of getting in buildings. tunneling is hard work and requiers materials in itself, time should be spent doing it and not quick instancing. Perhaps a skylight / open window access method would be great also, giving players a measure of how long it would take to secure and time how long it would take an invader access. Everyman and his posse will try to take over a town and be targets for bandits and the more determined. Either way, players in buildings should attract Zeds by the shitload unless in stealth mode. You could tell when players were occupying houses by a higher percentage of Zeds (Similar to zed counts in a town giving position away but based on stealth and noise levels. Hell, Zeds should be inside the buildings waiting for players when they try to get in.

As daft as it seems, I can wait for the release. I want it bad also but the need for it to be right (As a comparison to the Mod issues we faced) and as bug / hacker free as possible. I have said it once and I'll say it again, take your time and screw the whingers. I personally need a break from Chernarus as I was getting bloody sick of the map. I hope there are enough changes / alterations for a new experience. they have added a ship (as many of us asked and begged even) I only hope the prison and some more items are added, I can live without loads of high end military gear everywhere. btw, whos working on the soundtrack? anyone know? -

Funny thing is, With small details like this the game will take on a whole new meaning. Imagine, Your prone somewhere after spotting an threat, the bleeting of sheep, bird squacking and sounds of insects will affect the player and bring an atmosphere very much like one you'd find in IRL. Sometimes these are overlooked, however with architecture being high on the scale (for obvious reasons), I fear these will get overlooked and part of the beauty (for me) of DayZ is being put into a situation which requires steady nerves.
