I found the DB shotgun a bit poo from a distance?! and there were few zombies compared to when I find a crashed chopper, I usually get 8 zeds, then once ive killed them they spawn a minute after again.

If i need to update i find the latest version on any server and press update on Six Updater, usually works for me, though be warned when new ones come out the hosts dont update the majority of servers straight away!!! Have you tried the above instead of double clicking to go to game? Durrrhh Also download the latest patch and I always restart my P.C. and I have no issues bar getting on a server at rush hour.

You know what the names of all levels are? I only noticed it changed today, and it thought that was due to the many zeds I killed in game? (Obviously not - but hey what a great idea eh?)

I find using them a let down, I used to at first til I realised someone can take the best stuff and leave only poo items for you, Try it on a busy server!

Sounds familiar, The only way to lower the murderers is to become one and hunt them down, start a guild, create the Knights Watch. Smoke a kipper, but please remember nothing will change until you do something about it. Play as you would if your life depended on it.

Are you running the right update and patch? I have been in game and nothing spawns when my version is wrong.

Just spent most of the day there shooting Zeds, there were 3 other players there who just watched me having a good ol' time. I ran around like a chicken robbing a bank distracting the Zeds while they went on a loot run. One of the players came up to me and dropped me off a tin of Pasta!!! So no, I do not shoot on sight, those who do are subjects of fear.

I had an issue with the Crowbar, i dropped it and armed it again and it was O.k (after a reload???)

Humanity is a harsh word. I didn't want to suggest anything but..... Why not just have the Bandit / Killer have some sort of debilitating psychological effect? This will affect their gameplay and will put them on an even keel having them resort to relying on other players. eg, bandit goes on killing and then gets hungry, He opens up some beanz and then proceeds to Vomit them up due to his mind and body haunting his evil actions (no benefit!!). He will have to eat 1 in 5 food attempts (stopping his hunger) soon he will change his style of gameplay. If not he will have to remain a bandit but will place his self in more danger for his quest for food. To stop this cycle the bandit will have to help out others via Medical help or trading stuff (General player contact) or even having to visit a hospital for something that spawns rarely. It will cut down on Bandits, but lets be honest Zeds and Bandits are a core part of the game so just ignore what i just said, Rocket wants them in game and who are we to argue.

I've never been Robbed, but I have been shot for no reason other than a snipers whim. I ran back to my body took my kit and exacted revenge. They logged out when i was in Vengence mode but I waited. They came back on in 2 mins and I was waiting with a grenade up their pants without knowing I was there. Imagine my glee. I can honsetly say I only came across 2 bandits but they were in need of First aid, which I rendered, They couldn't have been that bad as I walked away without hassle. I think no matter how bad the game may seem, there is always gratitude from players when you help them out, bandit or friendly. I hope to come across more players and let them see I can make a difference if they allow it to happen. I've met some old type bandits and they can change their "Shoot first and ask afterwards" outlook. The bigger the teams the better the experience of DayZ The feeling of helping people, outweIghs the feeling of a 500m kill.

Have a good rig setup to run it, you wont regret it, It is one of the best games / mods I have ever played. I think you can still get arma 2 free, you could try that for controls system wise?

I like to consider myself as a Doctor in game, so I run around like a complete lunatic. It helps when in Dodgy areas (You know the places) I never get shot coz I run like a spider on acid. (Yes i never came across a hospital i didnt clear - this is usually me self medicating) Just today I was in Stary, I was in and out of the tents before any sniper could press their right mouse button. If I see survivors its usually in town shops or pubs, A quick QE wiggle, wait for response, if none comming I turn and run, funny thing is if friendly I can share out loot, except for my M1911, that is my only form of defence. Don't really see many in the cuds, but I dont go looking either. Snipers are dealt with the old fasion way, I'll find you and Double tap your head off. I can read maps well so I dont rely on Compass of G.P.S, infact my Ipad next to monitor with the map always on helps no end (Could be considered a cheat but, if I get called out to help anyone i know where and when) I try not to run in the open ground and avoid Zeds if I can, No point helping others if you can't help yourself. I live off the land for food and water, unless I'm called into a built up area where I may fancy a Can of Pasta from the local Asda quick stop.

No i dont think Zombies and Kids are the same, I just dont think the representation of "Infected Kids" is needed in DayZ ever. Did you not read where I said my Opinion? I can see the point and perhaps logical need, but At such an early stage of development I cannot see it being implimented in our P.C. world today. Don't expect many friendlies, there's a shoot first policy on most servers, Chat is mostly gone also. After so long and the ammount of glitches you may have to start over. Losing Zeds is easy. Cherno is a hoiliday camp.

No. Scenario wise, I think all the kids would have been first to go, via evacuation and Food source. And DayZ does not need this kind of attention at this stage of development, if ever. however i can see could be a logical step in development and ideas. I for one will not play a game that places the idea of Dead children in a game, Please seriously look at what your asking. I've been in warzones all over the world and I have never ever seen the need for Anyone to suffer let alone Kids. My opinion, and I can accept others too, which makes me a grown up.

Well, I sometimes do, I was Just woken up via a zombie in bed next to me, groaning and moaning, then I really woke up via jumping outta bed and Picking up my crow bar (Burglar basher) She then responded "do I snore that loud?" Women, worse than Zeds!! I have enjoyed eating more beans also.....

I wake up each morning and read new posts about all and sundery, Each day I read the unrequired abuse about the simplest issues. It begs the question, what do you want from DayZ? Please keep it polite............

Sniper from a distance can do this, happened to me a few times when i was sidetracked by Zed sneaky beaky.
