I recall someone on here telling me it was because when I died I aborted and came back into the same server.

I'd be willing to pay full price £30 - £50, alpha player or not. I can honestly say this is one of the best Mod's I've ever played in my long life of gaming. What you could do with regards of Alpha players (Forum Board posters at least) Is offer them some sort of exclusive package, like similar limited editions, that way everyone gets what they want and there's a thank you from the "team" I'm not saying a physical product just something in game. I think Dedicated fans would love to be recognized for their participation. Hell I'd be happy with an in game Helmet (for obvious reasons) And as far as purchasing items for long term funding etc I Honestly think it will take something away from the game, You can find Items in game, it's part of the fun and for some reason to play (Achievements in itself) Perhaps you could do seasonal options? Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter Map Packs? I WILL PAY FOR MORE MAPS ANY DAY OF THE WEEK (sorry but i can not stress that enough) But whatever you do, I don't share your thoughts on Competition, You have a huge and STILL growing base of users / fans. With games like The Dead Linger, WarZ and also Cherno Apocalyps being updated and coming out soon, I fear you may lose a large percentage of that fanbase That will put a dampener on any funding long term or short. To reiterate, I will pay full whack for this game upon release!!

Due to all the stories and interviews, or Insiders (You too Rocket) what definate info do we know about the Upcoming standalone game? I'm overloaded with what they want to do, but do we know any facts? I personally want to know: Is it the same map? What exactly is the "construction" side of the game? If you can't get rid of the Alt - F4 choice whats the solution? Try and keep it civil please. Cheers in advance.

There is no game out there or yet invented that will invoke emotions like DayZ does.

I've been there, saw the mass grave, i was ages before i realised it was the grave making the fly buzz sound. And the tower ladders take ages!! I recall the stories also on "that" thread Bunch o' tarts!!

I found watching a few youtube videos first, it can help with familiarity of enterable buildings and some other useful info. Don't forget DayZ wiki, loads of useful stuff on there. Welcome to the forums

Sorry but no, From What I hear there will be some differences with DayZ in future releases, There are no reasons to convert just yet.

I was overlooking Cherno, I had a sniper rifle and thought well wouldn't it be nice if I help protect new spawners from the Dead? So I find a nice comfortable spot and watch for players in trouble (There was shit loads) so I start popping off Zeds trying to feast on said players, Gratitude was shown via the QE wiggle!! Then some bastard comes up from behind my position with a hatchet (I had forgotten one of the laws of sniping, you know fire and move position) So there I am on the floor and he Continues to Hack me limb from limb, I die. Minutes later I am exactly where I died and my Body is untouched, all my gear is still there, so I load up and run like a loony, only to run into hatchet man again, At this point I'm thinking oh no not again!! he calmly walks up to me and salutes, He types back "sorry for killing you I didn't realise you were helping". It appears he saw a sniper shooting into town and thought another player killer, He apparently looked through his binos and noticed 2 survivors on top of a pipe like building wiggling like mental and lots of dead Zeds all over. So feeling happy for once I start to walk off when he Kindly hacks me to death again, He types again "sorry but it's in my nature" I laughed and respawned Then got shot by a sniper. You couldn't make it up if you tried.

Morning, Noon, Night whichever the case may be. ;) I've had a good day playing the game / mod, I just wanted to share that instead of the moaners and whiners in these forums lately. I have recently changed my game play style today, I wanted to find some good kit and the best place to find the kit is other players camps!! Well I found 3 in one server (was a french server - no I'm not telling!!) Like most of the vids' on Touyube it was full of nice shiny stuff, and to boot there was a military jeep kinda car there!! I am now an active camp Killer! So as I hate these hoarding feckers (I know its one way to play) I decided to un-steal some Gucci kit, There I was stood atop of a huge hill, looking like a mean monkey boy with the Bloodsport theme music ringing in my ears. I stole the jeep, and loaded it with enough fuel for 3 laps of the map in search for more camps, Upon finding various camps I looted all stuff from their tents and plopped their shit on the floor at random places under trees. Good luck finding that (Are the tents still glitched?) Then i drove over them, Ikea flatpacked style. I came across a camp near a lake, I loaded up a few Backpacks and went swimming!!! (In an octopussies garden) While driving around I find a crashed Heli, oohhh whats that near the tail? A L85A2 AWS???? never had one of those before, If there was ever a reason to search for a weapon this is the one. Night vision and Thermal scope? I could see tiny people running around the areas I was searching while hiding in the brush and It kills Zeds well too (I still, with all the kit I have, refuse to kill other players, I will not do it even if I lose my kit to those who do) I can understand players who say this is too OP for this game, but Its an advantage worth having. Short story short, Don't put your camps on the end of the map area, I'll find it and destroy your tents. All your team work, all your time spent is for naught. I did (like usual) get attacked and killed, but I started to drop my stuff while in the fire fight so no-one can claim my stuff. This game is Fooking excellent, play it and stop whinging, Oh and anyone with a camp, you had better man it up all the time, coz you wont know when I'm coming and I hope some other single players will follow suit and rob you silly. Vegetable rights and peace!!! B)

I started playing as most, find stuff and survive, I too got bored. If my RL nature affected me it was to help people. But after a while I too got bored of that (I still help when I can) I now Find camps because I dont like hoarders (I have found some great kit) I destroy the camps and litter areas with high grade stuff. Next month I may find another style due to boredom, vehicle orientated? Sniper? Bandit? cold blooded killer?. I may get bored of my playing style again but DayZ offers so many other playing styles so I (We!!) won't be getting bored anyime soon. Iv'e had Johnny Lumberjack attack and KILL me many times and it was a great method of Killing (just like knifers in other games - pain in the arse) but I realise it's a game, and starting out again with nothing is the main challenge of the game for me. I've had all the Gucci kit and lost it to other players and got so frustrated I wanted to slot the nearest player I met. But I have also met other players who don't KOS, and had so much fun teaming up with them (there are loads, don't believe the hype) Iv'e seen the films and read the books and yes I understand the points in them, But human history is full of Disasters and people get together and help eachother. I believe it's called civilised behaviour. I would love to be in a team but I can't Commit to meeting times and places due to my Hectic RL (Shame as I used to make it my main goal to team up and work as part of a team) Maybe one day when we have the final product I might make the effort. Agree each to his / her own.

I heard Rocket was changing zeds to run indoors also!! that will change gameplay considerably.

Man is Zeds!! I was in close proximity with another player and he was a blue dot (Dissapeared when he left my area)
