Not everyone has friends who play this, and I for one cannot guarantee I can meet up and a certain time and place. So It's Solo!!

Just a few questions, I don't suffer from a lot of the problems I hear and read about on the Forums, so i was wondering if it was my method of updating that makes it fine for me? I'll share. Open Six updater, update, verify Download beta patch to desktop (top one on page) unpack to a desktop folder, run install (This program installed correctly) I do the beta theoretically twice once with Six and then manually) RESTART P.C. (very important step) Open DayZ Commander, In filter box I type the beta release number, Find low or mid player count server, with Low Ping then I Join. Within 2 min's I'm in a server playing. Now I did notice before I used this method I didn't have the resolution settings on the same res' and also I hadn't done a Defrag of my HDD for a while and I too was waiting for ages to get in game. Game aside I always recommend players keep their P.C.'s in order for optimum running. Hope something in this helps.

Not true if you utilise stealth and cunning. I play solo all the time and I have never been killed there. 1. Get There, (Study the layout of the area) 2. Prone and stay there a while, 3. Listen. 4 Move around and repeat step 2. 5. When you're sure no-one is around (Zombie spawning counts) Get into the Barracks and loot till you get some good gear (remember your backpack may have a lot of spare slots for more gear - Morphine is more important than guns and tins of food) 6. Tactical retreat to some other minimum threat location. 7. Play your style. Trust me follow these steps and spend time doing it you'll come away with lots of good stuff (Providing you're not last in line)

What country? If U.K. Try CCL online (check their bundles) The sound card is good, but some mobo's do have as good on board. SSD is essential and also great for booting up Windows 7

From clicking my DayZ commander icon 10 sec, choosing a server to server screen 30 secs, into game (playable) 1 min 10 sec. total time = 1 min 50 sec. My PC is a 4 yo pile of crap.

I come and go, I have had the long houred sessions on it and as of this week I have played it twice. My gameplay is helpful to new players, Imagine fresh spawning and being given stuff to survive the first few days!! Today I have a DMR and L85 AWS to give to the first lucky players i find. Remember it's a game and there is a big world out there, get out more and enjoy the gaming on a night / evening. At 17 yo you should be out with your m8s having a laugh.

Has anyone seen any videos from the team making it or gameplay? A lot of searches for this brings up rehashed interviews and once in a while new screenshots!! I for one find this "game" a little too fishy.

Reading some decent posts for a change I'm not being negative nor do I want to highjack your thread but when have people made suggestions have any of them actually been used? Who took the idea and Implemented it? How did it change the Mod? I get the impression that the only times anything changes in this Mod is when the devs make a mistake, though I could be wrong, I don't claim to be an all knowing DayZ gaming god.

I'm afraid I'll need a bit more "pumping" before I play, I think I'll take a break from the game for a while.

A lot of posters have made some good suggestions on here, But then as you know some posters are fucktards and use their net trolling abilities to use. I Agree some people on here need to grow up and use manners. Bethesda? Please explain.

Hi, guys jus wondering what sound card you are using for playing wih DayZ, recently bought a headset and I am running my sound through onboard mobo. Its not too great! What soundcards can you reccomend? I'm looking at £100 ish. Cheers in advance. (Yes I do buy stuff all the time for worthwhile games)

Cheers for the reply's, Bought today a Xonar DG soundcard and some Roccat (I thought so too) Kave Headset, WoW, I can hear things in game I never knew where there, now i need to set up so i can chat in game!
