It is hard to find friendlies try the two forums in the general , Survivors and Bandits, there are teams looking for members. Ya never know you may find a home!! Last night I was in Lingor and there were only 3 of us in the server, all around Calamar airfield, we met at the hospital and went looting the base, My dead zed count was 250+ I dread to think what theirs was. It was pitch black and I got lost in a playing field with a fence all round it, no matter what I did I could not get out of this area, One of the guys came with a flare and we all ended up spending 6 hours solid playing together. I don't like playing at night but in a team It was fantastic. I have never tagged along like that before, We raided a hospital and gave each blood (You can see the difference with full blood at night - Colour!!) However just today, I bump into this guy who needed help and when my back was turned he slotted me, Gotta wonder what was going through his mind after the help I gave him.

Daft as this will sound, I would Like the player selection screen to Put you into one of two teams, each end of the map and when you meet You can have some serious fun. The Stalker idea was outstanding, never played a game like it since. It won't matter too long, the Standalone is coming out soon!!

You would have the inventory from which ever map you use, they don't cross over in any way. Big up to Acha and Fighter, we all spent 6 hours straight last night in Lingor DE 287. Calamar airfield has never been so lit up, my zed count was 450, god know what their was. We spoke in side chat all night and got lost due to the pitch black night a few times. the air field was like a christmas tree by 6am GMT. All alone in a server to ourselves. Battle eye kicked me for trying to put my military torch on my vest, stupid thing. Id spent ages wondering why my normal torch would not attach?!

I've seen this many times, sometimes when they die they just stay upright, You can loot them easily enough! But it makes me nervy when approaching them. Plus wait long enough and people will give away their positions.

39, West Yorkshire. Do you guys play at certain times? Or do you have a home server? Just wondering as I would like to play with others but I can't commit to times and dates! P.S Scotish accent is nice, Just finished watching Hamish Macbeth

When you search for servers in DayZ commander at the front of the line is a un-lit star, just click it and it will go into your favourite tab in DayZ Commander, I use it when I stumble across a good server. Also If you didnt know there is also a good filter system where you can find servers with 3d and ch (3d View and Cross Hair etc) and also if you download the latest version, It can install Lingor and allows you to update everything DayZ and Arma 2 related. Its a brilliant tool. @Leezeebub, I don't have that issue of not finding a server I mainly use servers through Commander and save as favourites. I did find a good server through Arma 2 server lists and found it with Commander afterwards

Run a private Hive with Lingor, Shit might happen but it don't happen again!! Or wait for the miraculous standalone. EDIT; just read last 2 pages, some people need to show restraint, the forums have gone to poo because of serious frustration with the Mod, don't take it out on each other, no need, I thought the kids were back at school now?!?

Dunno if this is the right place to ask, but I'm going in on U.K. 43 Gang land server, I'm friendly and some of you asked when I next play to let you know. It will fill up quickly but in 3 mins a server restart.

Awww, I hope theres a rash of maps used, In fact I wouldnt mind doing one myself, someday.

I don't really have a server of choice, everyone I've been in is great, the nearest one I play a lot in is Gang Land server, U.K. Or any low pinged uk servers, I will post again for games however I only play when the need arises. I was on a fpv server earlier and the action was intense, thank goodness for the double tap - key. There was a hacker in one on lingor, however they were kicked when they teleported us to a town, simple as that gone! I haven't even seen a hacker before in game and I won't be worrying about them with that quick a kicking, their details were logged and reported. That's progress. What surprised me was all the players 20 ish just ran about laughing over chat, not 1 player shot at each other. After we dispersed we were all lost. Teamwork was outstanding very much like the early days of DayZ used to be. Your right there is no need for tents, go in a straight line anywhere and you'll find a military hut, grab and ruin a few Zeds days, beware though the 3 airfields are still dangerous, I went to one and the ACT was a corpse magnet, bodies strewn everywhere (good pickings) you could tell if anyone was close due to the huge amount of spawning zeds. Due to using different servers some days can be great as my last character is saved from the last time I played, you can have multiple players on the different hives all saved. Other than that it can be a new start each new server you play on, I'm waiting to run into my DMR player.

Just to let you people know, since DayZ Commander included LIngor Island, IT has renewed my love of the Mod. Some of the servers have chat enabled and this adds a huge dimension to the gameplay. I was running around teaming up with people I've never met and the team work was great. Within 10 mins of playing I had found a bus, it was full to the rafters and running around all the military bases together was an amazing site but the Zeds spawned em masse. Weapons? There's a load more military bases with weapon spawn points everywhere (seriously everywhere) so balancing gameplay for new spawns is simple. However I forgot the cardinal rule, If you tell people over chat where you are, you will be shot at by the non teamwork orientated players, I had some great scrapes. I have been playing the past 3 days now, and I can honestly say it is a pleasure to get lost and find my way around like in Chernarus months ago. Give it a go if your bored or annoyed with The Mod, you won't regret it.

I,ve got the roccat 5.1, I don't care what others say, they are great for dayz. No software to use, just plug them in right and your aware of all goings on around you. Have saved my life a few times. Great headset and I did buy them specifically for DayZ.

Biding my time on Lingor til the Game is standalone, I'm assuming my participation is not in the figure as many like myself are on private servers with Lingor. The numbers will soar again when the standalone comes.

Have you tried installing DayZ Commander from fresh? I had similar issues but instead of updating through D.C I simply downloaded the new installer and installed then updated the game files inside the new installation, worked better than older version. Remember to reset P.C. after install. I've been on Lingor past 2 days now and enjoying it as much as when i first installed Chernarus.

Or just go and play Arma 2? You can find a lot of this stuff in other Mods and the Basic game. Except chicky babes?!?!?!

Alien software? please explain. Its not a good rig tbph. A bundle deal with many online retailers can beat this. In this day and age the HDD wont last you long either.

Well the latest DayZ Commander now allows installation of Lingor Island, through the UI. It was taking ages to update through the Older version of D.C. I downloaded D.C. again and installed it after a few P.C restarts. No biggie, sorted itself out. Now I can play Lingor and the server lists are huge with filter options as I like. Cheers

Be wary, I set up some Human player observation points with markers, I love watching players all angry at the empty tins in a tent.
