(I like redheads, just not the tashed ones in game) OP is one of those original insecure individuals who jump on the train of any good thing. You made a bad call, and you will be remembering this for a long time to come. Problem is the older you get, the more you look (or think) at your mistakes, enjoy that! You should go as far to add the poor guy on skype again and actually apologies, I bet he's over it in a mature way. I have seen worse on this forum over time, You're nothing. Just another memory of another stupid person.

Do yourself a favour and look at Arma 2 on Youtube, If you like it buy it. DayZ is great despite some of the issues, but with more maps and more coming soon your money will be well spent either way. Just make sure your P.C. can run it as it can be a pain in the arse having the game and having gameplay issues. Arma 2 Is a great game and the amount of other Mods (Other Zombis mods inc) are superb. Dayz standalone will come out eventually but Mods will come out all the time and DayZ mod will change over time anyway, probably by the community when BI drop it due to standalone. It's definately a thinking persons game, And not a shooter like the majority on the market.

Questions regarding the donations. What vehicles are available? Just in game DayZ ones or other Arma 2 ones? Just checked the site out and It looks superb, you even spend time clearing away old tents, fencing and traps! Good work, I will check your server out sometime.

Imagine my shock when i heard there was only one air base!! I spent 20 mins running round coast looking for it, over on the north west islands and had to come back again to realise this map was that small.

Like me who don't play Chernaurs anymore, I like to stay in with the community for future info, Glad I did also as the new maps have made it worthwhile. I'm playing again and enjoying new things. Standalone will be out soon (I hope) I bet there are many who don't play anymore but still post as I have made some great friends on here and / or are hopeing for fixes to some issues. Which is why I'm assuming many like to tell their friends they have quit, You will notice most quiters have a valid issue or reason. I thought the icons over corpses changed once you have a full inventory but not before? I checked all bodies anyway, especially when I ran out of beans.

If you go into the general discussion section on the forums at the top you will find a couple of sections, Bandit campfire and Survivor HQ. In there are like minded people who want to be in groups, who knows you may find some local people who play and are wanting members. Have a look at some guides on youtube, hey are most helpful and you can learn pretty quickly. all information in a godsend in this Mod. What forum is this? Is this the Arma 2 Forum? If I wanted to play Arma 2, I would have the day it came out. However I bought Arma 2 for DayZ, Yes i can agree Arma 2 is a great game providing you have the patience and time to play it. But the lure of Zombies and Survival was greater than Arma 2. We play DayZ for a host of reasons, Arma 2 isn't it, It is just a base on which it is set and Admittedly a bad one. Even Rocket said Arma Engine is no good for some of the stuff he wants to change / do. Back In the day I bought Op Flash' I genuinely thought it was great, years ahead of it's time (Cow bells and all), but even then you had other games like Castle Wolfenstein, Silent Hill 2 and Metal Gear Solid 2, when Arma 2 came I had Arkham Asylum and Assasins Creed 2 I didn't buy Arma 2 as It was not my cup of tea! Can you imagine the confusion of all those players who came over from COD and BF? "too many buttons, can't play Arma 2, It's for grandad's" My opinion is Play DayZ, I think We have not begun to scratch the surface of it yet. look to the future not the Arma 2.

First ten minutes was fun because it was new, It soon dawned on me this is a Killers map. Far too small and the few barracks soon run out, no decent spawning items, I had found a Fal and Bizon with no ammo, just dumped in the barrack buildings. Both heli crash sites were empty, and I could not find a Morphine stick when I was punched to broken. Zeds stayed over downed players and trying to get their stuff was hazardous Did not set a good experience, didn't like Utes one bit. Not a map for DayZ imo.

Perhaps this is a bit off topic but, I'ts Day Z. I love this Mod, I want a T Shirt, I would like to design my own, Do any of you know of any places with royalty free images based around icons and pictures from our mutual mod? I don't want to be stealing others ideas and visions (Not without their permission anyways) Where are the T shirt designs that were on this forum? I cant see the pictures that were there before the last server down. Cheers for any help

Ive been on this map since 10.30am GMT, There are some issues, regarding rocks and stuff floating off the ground. Had a hacker who teleported us to the middle of nowhere, but we were transported back in no time. Finding other players is easy as you can just look for zed activity in towns and villages. However snipers will need to get one shot or their plot will be discovered. there is cover and certain parts are green but not a lot of it at all. A huge desert with shrubbery here and there. There is a base like Sobor / Novy and it is a sight to behold, tents in the air, cars flying, gear spawning in ground (accessible mind) It's worth playing and is huge, but be warned you may be walking in one direction and you'll think you've gone off map. Finding loot is easy and there is a lot of it, maps are common. The air bases are packed full of loot (every time i visited there were farmers taking all the gear and putting it in hangars - very defensive) and there are enough military bases around to gear up in. The biggest let down is Vehicles, there are a lot of them and the problem is no Industrial areas so no spare parts. I have found busses, Gaz? bicycles, and another car type. I found only 1 chopper roto assembly and never came across a crashed chopper (there are some on map) Zeds lose interest after a short run, lose LOS and your safe, but like an update a while ago, they can sometimes see you for miles. Weapons are the norm, but I found them harder to find and did not come across a hatchet at all (They are in however) Not one tank trap nor fence. and only 1 tent. These observations were made since 10.30am so a lot of time was spent in game. Have fun and Be ready to die a lot.

Been on this solid since a min after posting, It's not bad. But snipers won't have any fun. theres little for cover. Script Kiddies, and gear farmers at work all day, apart from that met up with a few strangers and had a laugh.

I hear Rocket has someone working on a cross bow for the standalone, It was in one of the recent interviews when he dissapeared. I'll wager there's a scope on it too, Not many people use them these days without. Lets face it, the in Mod one is Cacky Poo Poo. I can't see why they just don't import all the Arma 2 and addons' weapons to the game? Maybey Rocket can allow us to Mod Weapons? Skip to 4.38

It is hard to find friendlies try the two forums in the general , Survivors and Bandits, there are teams looking for members. Ya never know you may find a home!! Last night I was in Lingor and there were only 3 of us in the server, all around Calamar airfield, we met at the hospital and went looting the base, My dead zed count was 250+ I dread to think what theirs was. It was pitch black and I got lost in a playing field with a fence all round it, no matter what I did I could not get out of this area, One of the guys came with a flare and we all ended up spending 6 hours solid playing together. I don't like playing at night but in a team It was fantastic. I have never tagged along like that before, We raided a hospital and gave each blood (You can see the difference with full blood at night - Colour!!) However just today, I bump into this guy who needed help and when my back was turned he slotted me, Gotta wonder what was going through his mind after the help I gave him.

Daft as this will sound, I would Like the player selection screen to Put you into one of two teams, each end of the map and when you meet You can have some serious fun. The Stalker idea was outstanding, never played a game like it since. It won't matter too long, the Standalone is coming out soon!!

You would have the inventory from which ever map you use, they don't cross over in any way. Big up to Acha and Fighter, we all spent 6 hours straight last night in Lingor DE 287. Calamar airfield has never been so lit up, my zed count was 450, god know what their was. We spoke in side chat all night and got lost due to the pitch black night a few times. the air field was like a christmas tree by 6am GMT. All alone in a server to ourselves. Battle eye kicked me for trying to put my military torch on my vest, stupid thing. Id spent ages wondering why my normal torch would not attach?!

I've seen this many times, sometimes when they die they just stay upright, You can loot them easily enough! But it makes me nervy when approaching them. Plus wait long enough and people will give away their positions.
