HOW can you still play a main hive server?

High pop servers are dangerous places to play on, And I aint talking about Scripters, and incidently with all the new private hives some of the safest places to experience the real joy of DayZ. I used to play on low pop servers all the time, especially when Hackers were rife, but i realised I was missing the real experience of DayZ. So now it is back to high pop servers for a fulfilling sesh. -

I think some regulation of maps are in order, Your making me want to play everything at once and I just can't If an zpocalypse ever happens I will survive, thank You! It wouldn't be possible for Nintendo, without it being an arcade experience, which is not what DayZ is about. DayZ is unique even on the P.C. so I don't think Nintendo has the market for it. Even with future consoles they would have to be extraordinary. the only adults I know use the Wii, for is a friday night piss up with Kareoke, It's good fun try it!! the new controller is nice and offers some possibilities but as stated could it cope with all the controls? Lets see how the Zombie U turns out? It could be released as Mincraft is on the Ipad? scaled down, basics all there but not the whole package? I would be dissapointed though as many would and I'd certainly get pissed if what I ordered wasn't what I was expecting. I thought Dead Island would be the game I was waiting for, But imo it wasn't, good game but not real enough to invoke the feelings and atmosphere of an apocalypse. -

You would need a huge map as fallout moves and more kit to protect you from the effects. A lot of these ideas could also be incorporated if Players submit to the infection. Players would feel the effects when they contracted a virus or radiation. Is this I wonder, what Rocket is in talks with his Brother for? or is it simply just infected behaviour? Good idea, providing the use of such weapons were authorised.

With the destruction on the map and in towns, I think the virus was well established. You don't have Militarycheckpoints, Blockaded villages and med tents set up unless they are for something. So in hindsight, any support of any kind will be pretty much suffering the same fate as the player. If there was a safe place where supply drops could be started from then surely the end game would be to make it there? Lots of private servers now have max Chopper spawns and add to that the many exsisting spawning sites (non stop spawning) you will never run out of stuff. So theres never a need for Drops. Radios are a good idea, but they can be rendered useless in some situations as players now use teamspeak and the likes to comminucate which is out of the games parameters and this offers strategy that would otherwise be impossible. eg you and your team are wandering around and one of them gets slotted. in a real situation that's it, over. but with ts players it "he was over there, with a m16 on auto, he had blah blah....." Its a big disadvantage and would upset the point of a radio (In some situations) Good ideas though.

I must agree this is a good idea, however this could be introduced long after the stability of the SA is proven. I like it but the player is immune from any infection, so it renders the whole article null. I can see it as being a realistic element to the game, but ask yourself, could DayZ's new engine carry out the suggested actions and requirements? thats where the hard part is. Another point of fact is when you get attacked by zeds your are usually done so by more than one. If one has you by the short and curlys the other will be on top of you also and then what? your up shit creek without a paddle. It would work but not with more than one. the animation actions would be all over the place and pointless. If the main animation would be, you pulling out your secondary weapon out, aiming and then being bitten by another zed. It would work with only one zed. I'm not trying to piss on your good idea but you could see my points?

What really annoys me about the concept of RL as opposed to the Mod is that things don't just magically respawn. My opinion however so bare with me this is a rough draft. Chernarus has a lot of towns and villages with spawn points so this would offer enough weapons and kit for over a 100 slot server( consider the SA will have more enterable buildings and more item spawns) When I join a Hardcore server I would like only one off spawns for everything except animals (Continually spawn choice for animals to simulate a steady supply of food) this could only be done with limited slot servers with a regular amount of players ( RPG, Clans, Privave etc) and servers who host this feature would be limited in many ways. Some players may not like this idea and this is fine but RL vs Game is the main focus of this mode. so It won't be for everyone allowing more realism and choice for players. Upon death the weapons and kit could be rendered as damaged at one of the many locations in game providing you didn't take them from my cold dead hands. this would be a hardcore mode of sorts but would add realism. If you found a heli crash site first, you have an advantage, where as anyone late to the game (Limited slot remember) would have to rely on lower tier items for survival giving the emphasis on survival( Chernarus is a big place with more areas being added so spawns will be everywhere). Stealth and skill would allow players to eventually attempt to take out a target who has better gear, which would happen in RL. Players would naturally keep their gear unless killed where the kit may or may not pass onto the person who killed them as mentioned it could be damaged to some level requireing a tool kit to repair. but if i was to bury the body and all they possess then that item would be lost forever until a items figure was low enough for minimum spawn action or a possible drop of sorts (or alternativley remember the spawn points are more in game vs player slots) Farming items would be history, no more running in, taking it all, dump it and then run back in and repeat. Unless of course..... For those who save items in tents, the SA will have bases to store items in. Camp sites will be rendered useless so no need for tents, so then another aspect of the game comes into play searching for your survival. All this would take was tools for entering safe bases (Which we already have, crowbars are usefull at last) In a 24 hour period, players would visit a server and play out their game allowing other players to discover their bases and allow potential access (Unless security measure like bear traps or any other measures were employed) but nowadays with servers hosting all day everyday there is ease of access while players are out and about. As real as I would like it the limiting factor is you could not swap servers, players would be locked therefore not allowing them to server swap or jump. this could be just a function of player difficulty. I choose hardcore I am then auto joined to a specific server, If i was to choose another difficulty I could then swap and change servers at will as only Hardcore servers would close you in allowing a vivid survival experience. Better hacker protection would allow this to happen and this suggestion is for SA only, as a special feature or normal player choice.

I use to always carry one. If you get into a situation like in a millitary base and the zeds can be lured with a smoke grenade, You can take them all out in one grenade, Until they immediately spawn back and make the whole point of grenades useless.! -

I play on both, I prefer low pop (population) servers as there seem less to worry about! You will get the best of DayZ from high pop servers however, but you run the chance of hackers more (Unless a private pass worded server) -
I don't mean to repeat myself but I find if i simply run into a spawn point, nothing happens no stuff (I'm updated in all areas) whereas anything but running in spawns stuff?!?!?!?
