I loved playing during night, especially when I didn't have the NVG yet. At first I had trouble adjusting, but I loved how the game changes cause of people not being able to spot you all that well, and the same with zombies. I must say though that I only remember encountering someone else with NVG while not having them myself once... I can imagine that if you're on a server where everyone has them it might be frustrating... :P

Vehicles dont spawn in for a day or 2 on a new server after they've been whitelisted.

Sometimes I forgot 98% of the internet consists out of assholes...

Thats how I used to feel, life in the wilderness has hardened me a bit though. I try to still be friendly to people, but now when one aims at me with a gun and I no longer feel safe, I don't take the risk any longer...

Thank god someone else gets it. This is exactly it. I'm a server owner, I get the frustration as I'm experiencing it too. But the issue is NOT with the DayZ staff, other then that they may be going a bit far with limiting our control over our servers. I see TONS of complaints like these on this forum, but when I look at the BIS forums, barely 1 complaint a day. All go to their forum and continue bitching there so someone might listen!

You're the first I've seen post that. At the very least we should have the option to turn it back on without being threatened to get blacklisted...

IT's a mistery to me why they removed global chat and don't even allow us to turn it back on cause we'll get blacklisted... I only see people wanting the feature back... I never saw people complain they wanted it gone when it was still there... It makes me sad... :(

This happened to me with ALL machine guns I've found, it's weird. My friend managed to use them without losing his backpack... :(

You didn't find the answer cause it's not possible. The game has no party system. When you're in a group you just go on a mumble/vent/ts3/skype together and play together. But you'll still be able to shoot eachother and such.

Wrong.. The cheating problem is with the ARMA 2 developers, not the dayz developers, I've mentioned this like 50 times now but ppl just keep shouting bullshit here on the dayZ forums rather then going to the arma 2 forums and bitch there. Since the cheating problem has nothing whatsoever to do with dayz or their staff, the game being in Alpha has nothing to do with it either.

Frowned upon but not bannable, I'd say just use it if you want to. I personally collect hacked weapons cause they're the rarest ones. xP

It does not anymore, there used to be a visable bandit system, but it was removed.

That's a good way to meet new survivors to play with I found. 1) Get in treeline 2) Wait for survivor 3) Shoot and break survivors legs 4) Move away and flank survivor 5) Pretend like it wasn't you who shot him and offer to heal him up 6) You got a new best friend! Ya, I'm a bit of a sadistic asshole too at times. :3

Only read like the first 3 lines. Bandits is what makes this game. I wouldn't be playing it if it wasn't so harcore, and no, I'm not a bandit myself. I played EVE online for years because of the same reason, I love how hardcore and unforgiving it is. EDIT: Just skipped through the rest of your post. You're actually not complaining about bandits alone, you're bitching about end game content. To you I'd like to say you're completely right about one thing; QQ more. Crymore. Carebear. It's an alpha. Sneak. Harden up. tl;dr.... It all applies to your post.

Nope, not even in ARMA 2.

Problem isn't with DayZ staff but with Arma 2 developers, if all those 100+ posts per day like this would go on their forums, maybe they'd do something.

I think most are on BETA 95389 atm.

Your BETA is out of date, update it.

You're probably playing on server that have a private HIVE. Make sure you play on legit servers.
