I like to play on night servers for the suspense but have found snipers rocking the DMR with nvg's give me a big disadvantage. I don't agree that nvg's are for young lads (nor would i imagine the 100's of thousands of other players that use them). You're entitled to your opinion obviously, but I don't agree with you. I do have a military flash light and normal one, plus a Glock 17 w/ tact-light. I still think nvg's are a useful tool to have on night servers. alt+F4 doesn't work on my pc. To d/c I either have to esc+abort or alt+tab + right-click close Arma2. <_< I prefer Stary tbh. Also, no one's crying about anything.. so don't bother lower the tone of the thread by berating others. cheers.

I'm keen to join. Recently the friends i used to team up with quit due to hackers. I play daily, but usually lone wolf as I've been betrayed so much its ridiculous. I live in the uk but can join any servers really. I have a mic and skype. Pm me if you want me to come along for a chat.

Why do some day time servers give me massively low FPS? This only happens on some servers, it's weird. I have 60 Mbps net connection and a ping of around 15-20 ms on these low FPS servers. It happens even when I set all video setting to ultra or low/off. I run the following spec; Intel i5 2500k @ 4.40Ghz, 8GB Corsair RAM, dual 2GB 6970's and Win7 HP. To reiterate, I only get this on some servers and have no problems finding alternatives, I'm just curious as to what is causing this and whether its happened or happening to others. cheers

I used to be able to, but since the last forum update I can add images.. I keep below 2mb, and have tried numerous formats. It always fails, both the new uploader and the old type. I'm using Chrome. Anyone getting the same?

hmm.. not sure what you're saying. Thanks for the info, but what's wrong with the forum upload? I'm guessing that the DayZ forums servers are hitting bandwidth and storage issues, no? If so fine, I'll wait until its addressed, if it's not this could you please elaborate as to what might be going wrong for me?

Hi all, I'm getting tired of playing alone now. My old group have stopped playing due to hackers and other games. I've spent the last few weeks playing solo, and while it can be ideal when I just fancy a short adventure, getting killed over and over and not being able to venture into busy servers through fear of a fast death I now want to join a group. i don't mind any location really, but would have preference of an EU group simply due to time zone sync. I like to play a couple of hours a day and don't mind filling a role (raider, medic, bait etc). If there are any groups that are taking on new members, let me know. Thanks

I logged onto a random server the other day to get a quick adventure in before heading out with friends. As soon as I joined (on the outskirts of Cherno) I headed inland, northbound. Shortly after I hear some buzzing. I follow the buzzing, getting closer and closer to the downed player. I find her body. No loot. "Damn", all of a sudden I notice a bicycle on the ground! So last night I joined my usual server and heard a bus near by. Fortunately the driver was AWESOME and came back to collect me and load of other players! no, no idea. HAHA "Carebear"! I would have shot him, but wanted to warn the guy I was with first. The guy I saw (in the bandit mask) wasn't the guy that killed me though, there was a second gunman on the roof of the apartments.

I once shot a guy who only had a torch out. I had only played Day Z for a few days. It was a tense moment, I was in pitch black night and genuinely feared for my survivors life (I wrote a story about it a couple of months ago if you fancy a read). After that though I never shot another player unless I was under threat or duress from them.

I see a lot of players simply standing and aiming but nothing else. A few times I've avoided them, other times when I've needed to get to an objective near them (hospital tent or market) I've shot them a couple of times.. nothing. These guys don't die. Are they hackers or is it a bug? Also, I've come across player bodies with cool loot but have been unable to loot them. Same with hospital boxes, I've tried to take blood bags and morphine but nothing will transfer to my inventory or bag. This must be a bug right? I've not seen these issues in previous versions. I know there are a lot of bugs with this version but with the above issues I've not be able to confirm whether they're bugs or not (lag, server errors, hackers etc). thanks in advanced.

So bodies that stand there without the flies sound are hackers? they have mostly been the type without flies, although a body I literally just saw standing out in the open was a dead guy. No loot either <_<

...Which is probably not that special to most, especially as duping is so common, but for me it was my first in the three months I've played dayz as I never go near airfields or military places through fear of insta-death. So I log on today in my bush, BAM! Teleported to some location and murdered by a hacker... I literally found my ghillie suit, put it on and logged out in a bush happy as punch. Now it's all effing gone. I don't really get pissed at this game but this really gets on my nerves.

You know what, I was so pissed I run all the way down from Solnichniy back to Elektro in a vain effort to find a gun an just start shooting any players I saw, but, when I got there there were a few bodies scattered about. I looted two and made off with all the tools you can get (Hatchet, Box of Matches, Compass, Entrenching Tool, Flashlight, Flashlight (Military), Hunting Knife, GPS, Map, NV Goggles, Rangefinder, Toolbox and Watch!), a load of meds, AK74 and 5 mags, and my favourite thing of all, an M9SD! I ran so the nearest bush and logged off! :D Karma is an awesome thing.

I've literally been trying to find a server for about 35 minutes, even after filtering for Day only every single server has been night. What's the point in servers reporting what time of day the game will be (GMT/UTC X) if the admins always effing change it.. sigh. Playing in pitch black is pointless, especially when you have spawn campers with NVG's and a DMR's.
