  1. Actually, in a real zombie Apocalypse, I would expect people to not shoot other survivors on sight the way they do in this game. Think about it logically for just one second. You are alone in the ZA. You haven't seen or spoken to another human being in weeks. You have been wandering avoiding zombies for god knows how long. You are walking along somewhere and off in the distance you see another lone individual. This is the first non-zombie human you have seen. So naturally, what with human being social animals, you blast the guy dead? That doesn't make sense. He could have shown you where food was in the area, or possibly if there is any real civilization or a cure. In the ZA, life will become more precious and rare. For that reason alone, people will not just shoot each other on sight.
  2. The reason I will play the female character whenever it is given as an option is simple. If I am going to be staring at the backside of anyone for any extended amount of time, I would prefer it to be a backside I want to stare at. Since I am straight, I would just simply rather look at a female backside.

Your #1 ideal you stick to.

I was actually gonna post something along the lines as your signature. I try not to shoot survivors as it makes them more likely to shoot at me or someone else next time with provocation.
  4. Here's a bit of advice to get yer bearings at spawn. You are gonna spawn on a coast. There should be a railroad and a road near the coast. If the road is closest the ocean, you are on the east coast, possibly as far south as the southeast corner of the map. If the railroad is closest to the ocean, you are on the south coast. The only place this is not applicable is if you are between Elektro and Cherno, in which case you are probably fucked anyway.
  5. My partner and I made it to the Northeast airfield, after several days of wandering around semi-aimlessly. When we got the the first hangar, we chanced upon a lone survivor right outside the door of the hangar. All parties identified themselves as friendly. After we lose track of the lone survivor, we decided to get out of the area. Too much chatter about locations to make us feel anywhere close to comfortable, or as close as one can get to comfortable. My partner and I head out the hangar and start dragging ourselves on our bellies back to the trees. Almost to the treeline, we spot 2 more survivors with their backs to us. We say nothing as to not attract attention, though we could have taken these 2 easily. The 2 identify themselves as friendly with the caveat of "just don't come near us", which is more than fair. During all this, a second survivor has joined up with the lone survivor from the airfield. Me and mine head into the woods, giving the second group of survivors a wide berth, and decide to check out the nearby dam. Partly there, the second group we encountered both die. They claim it was lag and zombies, but my group did not want to find out. So we head to an area I will not talk about. This made for one of the tensest play sessions that I have had to date and not a single shot was fired. Thanks to Kevin, Langes, Irish, and Brandon for the fun and for not shooting.
  6. Yeah, everything except the bike suggestion is complete crap. I want a bike. Pedal bike, not a motorcycle.

    making different characters?

You cannot have more than one character at a time. Whenever you login, you will log in with the same gear you logged out with even if you change servers.
  8. I see birds flying all over the world. Sometimes, when I am lucky enough to have matches and a hunting knife, i get hungry looking at them. I have tried to kill them in single player to no avail, so I kinda don't wanna use the ammo. So I thought I would ask here. Thanks.
  9. You can "rob" people, you just have to be really really sneaky. Me and a fellow survivor were exploring when we chanced upon a solo sniper on a hill who had not seen us. We identified ourselves as friendly, got no response, so we waited a minute. Since, the sniper was not looking at us, we snuck up to him. We managed to get all the way on top of him and still no response. We identified ourselves again and still no response. My partner then proceed to open the sniper's Alice pack and take all his food and ammo. Now it is not possible to rob someone of their active gear, if you approach someone and use the action wheel to "Open [x] Pack", you can take stuff out of their pack.
