To bad the scripters keep finding ways around the global bans... while legit players might not be so lucky. If they are in fact getting banned. I do recall when a bunch of people got VAC banned from one of the CoD games or something and Steam ended up giving them all a free game after lifting the bans. Who knows, machines make mistakes just like people.

I changed mine and was able to play for an hour just now with no issues. I'd try it out on more servers but I am about to fall asleep at my desk. Will do more checking tomorrow...

Well, I was able to jump on and play for a good hour with no issues, with edited config files (PC tweaks for better fps) and the newest Beta patch. Had no problems on my end, though I saw a few dead bodies with soldier skins and high end guns littered about, and a lot of other player bodies that were un-lootable even though they were holding guns. I think 2 people were booted by BE while I was playing though I don't recall the reason it posted... Glad people are being banned, but hopefully no legit players are. *shrug* Side note: It was nice being able to play for an hour and not be killed by a scripter, or thunderdomed though. That might have just been luck however... or Beye working....

I was running with a few friends (2-4 at any given time) but they all got sick of getting killed by scripters and quit. So now I am flying solo it seems....

Hmm, I am running the new beta patch and have edited config files to make the game run better. Honestly don't recall what I changed, followed a performance tweak guide someone posted here on the forums. Will go log in and see if I have any issues, then edit this post with the outcome.

Best part was the truck that vanished right before running him over. Hilarious.

Not necessarily, I have been on a few low pops that get thunderdomed and invaded by scripters. Seems to be random luck these days.

Just got thunderdomed for the first time. Just a heads up for the server admins/devs . Literally just happened. Jumped out of the server but at least 20-30 people still in it.

I used to pick them up and hide them in bushes till I realized there was one every 10 feet....

I know it sucks, but wait it out. Sooner or later they will get bored and leave. I know this is a tired excuse but, it is an alpha. You're gear and stats will all get erased some day anyway. Instead of complaining about it, just play the game and have what fun you can while reporting bugs. Some day you will tell your friends "Man, I survived 15 days back when this game was in alpha and there were hackers on every other server." Just play and have what fun you can. Seriously hunting scripters can be pretty intense and fun seeing as they have the upper hand usually. I know it sucks to lose gear for crappy reasons, I too would prefer a legit player to kill me and earn my beans. What people keep forgetting is, you can lose your gear to bugs, or damned well anything these days. The game is in it's early testing phase. Don't get attached to your shit. If a hacker gets you, "oh well" start over and hope next time it's a legit player that earned that AKM and NVGs. I know I got pissed when my 30 day character got killed by hackers, but an hour later I was running along the beach looking for new gear. Get over it. If you can't take bugs/issues in a games testing phase, don't play it. Not meaning to offend, just being honest. Though, admittedly, it gets hard to keep testing a game when there are this many scripters....

I don't call myself a bandit, the game does. When you kill other players, you are labeled a bandit by the game. Thus, why you get bandit kills when you kill a guy who murders people all day. I understand where you're coming from though. I do like the idea of robbing people instead of killing them, to EARN the bandit title. Sadly these days robbing people is fairly hard to do. The few times my friends and I have tried to just rob a guy and let him go, it always ends in a death or two. That or an abrupt alt+f4. I think real banditry will make a come back later on when the game is a bit more *fixed up* Till then, everyone will kill on sight and be a self proclaimed bandit. Till then, I'll try and rob and leave them living when I can, but if you even turn around with that .45 in your hand, or I think you have a buddy in the tree line with an as50.... All bets are off.

I know how you feel. I was at day 29/30 when I got killed by hackers. Oh well, back to the grindstone.

I'm waiting for the patch that adds biological functions to the game, so I can leave you a nice pile in your tent.....

Yeah that's the second time it's happened on that server that I know of. I liked playing on that server but I might avoid it for a while just in case.

Seems like it should be safe, but I'd wait to get a response from a dev...

That bug has saved my life a few times now.

Honestly, he could have been waiting to catch his breath. Also, he most likely didn't drink the soda next to you. Sometimes when you bump into people, you will hear every thing they did since they logged in. Last time I met up with a friend I heard him drink 3 sodas, eat twice, gut and cook an animal, right as we ran up to each other. There is a sound lag for some actions, that will play for other players when you get close to them. Even if you ate/drank a while ago. I don't know why anyone would hesitate to kill you, no one should think twice about killing a hill sniper at noob towns.

This does work but not for everyone. What works for me every time is disabling crossfire, then turning it back on. My friends claim that opening the map, then alt tabbing out of the game, then back in works as well, but it's had no effect for me.

This. Also, I am tired of games coming out half finished and still buggy. At least with this one, I get to watch it grow from a mod to a game, and have fun playing it. There aren't any other games out there like this at the moment. Even with the scripters, and bugs, I still enjoy this game more than any other one I own.

Killed a guy today who had a silenced PDW and a crap ton of gear. I took it all but left the Silenced PDW as I am pretty sure it's not a legit gun. Was promptly sniped 10 minutes later but eh, not like I really earned the stuff.
