Rocket, I know you want to make things "Harder" but, you can please the shareholders and your own wallet by adding a pay system as well as a montly sub. If you fail to take advantage of microtransactions and better gear for paying players you will loose the additional income for development and progression of the standalone in addition to loosing the resell dollars that are so easily made by banning hackers and having them re-purchase CD keys. Games such as Navyfield have made great a great deal of money by presenting unique pay ships and items to paying players. This combined with a monthly sub option that increased experience but, was not required to play has turned them a pretty penny as well as allowed them to game develop and stay independent. If you want the game "your way" you will need the capital that those of us who havent wasted there lives and can afford to buy the items they need to increase their game enjoyment can provide to you.
