I was actually in the process of trying to set up a Lingor Island server with this exact type of setting. Even though it was a private server with full access to FTP, im running into issues trying to set it up and and beginning to realize that it may not be possible to do it through the server host im using. This is nothing against the server host itself, they've been great, just think ill need a full dedicated machine to get this working. Is the server up currently? If i can't get my server working as intended, then id definitely consider joining your community. The reason i attempted to set up a server in the first place is because the rMod server my friends and I play @ will be going down soon.

I'm curious about this as well. I've been going through the motions to get a private server running a modified Lingor Island, but this map seems to have everything i was looking for. When / Will this map become available to host on your servers? Thanks!

So i guess you'd rather be shot by a DMR, knocked out immediately, then killed by a follow-up shot while you're laying in a pool of your own blood? They aren't overpowered. They are in the game to effectively disable vehicles. It just so happens that a .50 caliber round also absolutely destroys soft tissue. That's life.

Seems like a pretty nice server. I've seen several vehicles in use. admin seem to be quite active and responsive. I saw Jay-Nic and the gang earlier, helicopter and all. Got in a bit of a Firefight with Jacob after he was dropped off in that patch of woods. Im sorry he didnt make it out. I laid him to rest next to the tree he fell by.

I just found a ural outside of stary filled with the same stuff. PKM cans, RGO frags, GP-25 flares / HE, KSVK mags and much more. A gunfight broke out north of me as i started heading towards it, so i just jumped in and left. I've never seen an ak with a gp-25 mounted on it.

Should play "Tracks of my Tears" and fire up the helicopter just as the song starts, ala Platoon. Man, i missed the church service but id really like to make it to this event.

Realistically, in Eastern Europe, there would be virtually no civilian owned weapons. And if we are talking about gun ownership in the states, you've never seen the inside of most american's gun cases. A .30 cal bolt gun with magnified optics would likely be the first thing you see. Learn the glass that treeline with your binocs before running across the open field maybe?

I agree. Id like to see this game turn more towards something like the movie "The Road," Where a guy with a crossbow or a flare gun indeed has the upper hand. Either way, military gear =/= best gear. Everything is situational. Having an m107 does not guarantee you will survive a firefight. A level head, situational awareness, etc are your best friend.

To respond further, while i understand that just having admin power does not give the user the ability to do some of the things mentioned above, i feel that the admin is in cahoots with whoever is. I don't want to run around crying wolf, i do agree that there is a lot of fishy stuff going on. It was really only frustrating as my friends and i dedicated quite a bit of time on this server hoping to call it home base. I really do wish i would have had fraps running during my encounters with these folk. I checked through all 400gbs of recorded gameplay on that server but none of my encounters with these guys were ever recorded. :( If i wasn't banned, id log in and just follow them around, as i know exactly where they hang out. They can be seen regularly on the highways between Polana, Gorka, and Dubrovka looking for heli crash sites. They drive around in a UAZ. They may also have some tents just northwest of Dubina Peak, in the treeline. I hope this information is helpful.

You weren't. Sorry about your gear man, i know that feel. I just wanted to chime in because i came across your thread maybe 5 minutes after they banned me, and that guys voice really pissed me off.

I watched this "Alex" guy fire off 3 rockets from the m138 in a matter of a couple seconds at me from roughly 200m yesterday, just east of Gorka near the Gas Station at that 3 way intersection. It was like coming under attack from a helicopter with a rocket pod or something, because he was shooting them off one right after the other. Now, ive never used an m138, but i assume it takes a while to reload. Ive seen this Alex guy several times and he plays in a bizzare fashion. I think he may be the admin as he banned me as well. at least i assume it was him just rubbing salt in my wounds after walking away with my DMR. I see "Alex" hangout with the following on a regular basis... Deagle Schwarzy NoD*sYe The above poster is spot on. A whole lot of bullshit is getting pulled on this server.
