No, you're missing the big picture. Alpha is the perfect time to add features, as it's a test. They can get all the ideas they have out of the way then decide what ones they want to keep and really polish it down to a very solid game. You're free to do this but just know, you're supposed to be a tester and doing this would help nothing with the progress of the mod. Step your game up son, your ninja skills are weak. I haven't experienced this problem too much ( an occasional zed through a wall has seen me 1-2 times) and I consider myself a "sneaky" player. The trick is to not fuck with zeds looking in your general direction, whether it be, waiting till they turn around, going a different way around them, or taking them out silently from range. I believe there's a command in your config you can change to fix this, I don't go in water, so I haven't bothered with it yet. Shitty luck, I've been beat on pretty hard today, no broken bones yet, though slightly more bleeding. -

Yes they're awesome! No, if the designers followed what the "majority" of people thought, well... we'd have a shitty l4d clone. From what I can tell, yes, but remember if they're looking straight at you there's a % now built in that they'll still be able to see you. While I've been playing, I have been able to basically crouch run right behind zombies at night time. So I would imagine that his "eyes" were looking straight at you, hence why the others didn't follow. No, because they're eventually going to need a system like this... Alpha is the best time to get the system flawless. Zeds are kind of the "main" story in this game. Yes they may need some improvements, but the current direction they're heading with it is the right way. No not necessarily, but I would say it's just the luck of the draw, there's always that chance that they will break a leg or something 1st swing. I myself have noticed a improvement on bone strength and a slightly higher chance of bleeding. Yes they need to fix these things but remember it's alpha. They will get these things fixed over time. they've heard enough moaning about it already! They know it's broken. I think people need to look at the bigger picture here, the direction they're heading in, the fundamentals of the idea itself.. Instead of bitching about it, look at the patch as for what it is. See the post 2 above. -

Rendering Issues?

My game used to look exactly the same as yours, down to the red border around the Arma window.. I'm 99% sure, this should fix your problem. -

Do you have a Radeon card? If so check your Vision Engine Control Center... Go to the "Gaming" tab then the "3D Application Settings" tab, to the right you'll notice a "Anti-Alias" setting and a "Anisotropic Filtering" setting, set both of these to use application settings. I imagine it's the same for Nvidia users as well, i'm just not sure how the menu's are laid out... -

A little magical man came by while you were sleeping and stole it! Go cry elsewhere... I'm sure you could have used the search function to find an answer to this, as it's been asked a million times. Update: I'm still in love with the new zombie mechanics. I'm not seeing these loot problems a few others claim to be having, stuff seems to be spawning fine. I'm looking for bear traps, no luck yet.. The dampened sound during rain is awesome as well. Current loot that I've found in the last few hours: m14 aim, glock 18, map, compass, axe, knife, beans, & more beans... I have noticed that when you shoot, zombies tend to flood the building you're in and do not stop until you take them out quietly, yet another great addition. -
It would also be nice if they told you how many slots were open, as back packs do...

If you weren't from Sweden, I'd say come play with us, but I imagine your ping would be rather high on a TX server... Also I'm not sure of your money situation but all it took for me to get my friends to play, was gifting my friend with the "loudest mouth" Arma over steam, shortly after the others joined in... Moan more please, let me grab some popcorn. :D I've had none of these issues.. I might suggest reading the server name/info before joining, to make sure they're running the correct update/alpha. As for your gear, deal with it! The mod is in alpha, unfortunately we will all have to deal with these losses/bugs/etc... We are all testers, not players. -

No I don't... Instead of trying to go in while there's 5 zombies roaming around a building, why not just wait a few minutes for them to wander out of the way?? Patience seems to be key in this patch. I was able to make it in and out of Chern without being spotted by a single zed while getting geared up in broad daylight, mind you I was only prone about 15-20% of the time... So you're obviously doing something wrong. Step your game up son. For those of you complaining about "super" zeds, I don't see where you're coming from at all... From what I've seen they still don't run inside and it's still possible to lose them with the "entering a building, running out the back" trick. I hope Rocket sees you all shedding tears and makes them even harder, cause right now I see no difficulty in them. IMO zombies should put that fear in you and make you think twice before you decide to go running into that building for "epic l00tz". PS. Zombies are fictional creatures, they can act as how the creator intends, they're not limited to being mindless, slow creatures. -

So far I'm really digging this patch! The zombie behavior is pretty on point now, I seem to get a slightly higher fps as well, no complaints here.. I'm not sure why some of you are moaning about the zeds being to hard now, use your common sense.. Hide behind walls/block your line of sight from them and you really have nothing to worry about. -
This shit was intense, I'm glad that I wasn't on the other side..
