  1. You're missing a boot drive, I'd recommend a SSD for a boot drive and then larger caviar black for storing everything else, Unless you're set on luiquid cooling, i'd recommend just going air, it's not really worth the hassle of maintaining or setting up, plus if you lose a pump or get a leak you've got a pretty bad mess but you can avoid major damage by using non-conductive coolant (which most setups come with now anyways)

as for the motherboard, i'd probably just recommend an Asus Sabertooth x79, especially if you're only going to run a single and dual card setup and you're not really getting all that much more with the ROG rampage series except for an extra pci-e slot and a few other small features. I'd also second just opting for the i7 3930k and overclocking it to make up the difference between it and the "extreme" since they're essentially the same proc.

As for the ram, It seems odd you went for 19gb and i'd probably just go for the 16gb cm10 platinum series kits from corsair.

Otherwise you've got quite a few good choices, Plus that's a really solid chassis you chose.

    -edit-

Just saw that you have a 2tb caviar green as your only drive, if you're going to build a rig like this, get a fast boot drive and throw either a 1tb or 2tb caviar black as the secondary as to avoid long load times and texture pop in some games.

  2. The text/font and buttons in the UI all look pretty shitty to be frank, really out of place. I'm hoping it's all just place holder menus and fonts for the moment, but i'll admit it's still a improvement over the menu's in Arma so hopefully they find something a little more clean/simple looking when they start polishing the game up for public beta. The menus almost look like something you'd find on a "Web2.0" site.

Otherwise Lighting, animations, and everything else already looks pretty well polished and a great improvement over the mod so i'm looking forward to release and will be patiently waiting to finally get to purchase it on steam. Overall it's really exciting to finally get to see even a little bit of footage.

  3. So far playing dayz I've only had one major complaint, I can deal with the bandits and Player killing, the little bugs here and there, the clunky inventory (arma issue anyways...)

But what has been really difficult for me to cope with is trying to play with my friends, We generally spend the first half hour to hour just trying to figure out where each other are and trying to get to one another. What i would like to see implemented is a sort of friends list, so when we spawn as a new character it spawns all of us in the same general area, at least only a city away, earlier when we were playing i had 3 other friends joining me, 2 spawned near kamenka, I spawned in balota and the other spawned all the way on the other side of the map, the three of us managed to meet up in balota and the other player made his way through elektro, an hour later he was on the east side of cherno, while we were on the west side, he made his way across town by the docks only to be picked off by a sniper and promptly spawned in kamenka, causing us to pass another half hour before we could even play together.

With the way Arma II works i realize an actual friends list isn't exactly feasible, but i figure there has to be a way so that i can give my player id to my friends and the game would spawn us fairly close to one another.

I almost think something like a simple text file that's loaded by the game that i can put all my friends player id's into would work well, in order to avoid people just throwing random players in their friends list in order to be able to spawn near someone you would both need to have each other on you "friends list"

  4. It's amazing how many people result to shooting Zeds to get them to stop following them, I only shoot them when i absolutely have to or don't want to have to run off and lose them just to loot a pile, and when I do, I do it as quietly as i can.

Just zig zag through a few trees in a forest or go through a building then get out of their sight and you're fine.

  5. What i'd like to know is, in the event you find a vehicle, and i log out, does the vehicle stay in the same place even if i save it? from what i have read tents are server based, but if you have a vehicle and you save it, no matter the server you log into, it'll be where you saved it at, do i have to worry about someone coming along and taking my vehicle while logged out?
