same thing happens to me but only if i join a US server. i get strange lags when i look at the forest/towns/cities. but zero lag when i look at the sea. -

well for one. you dont survive for long when you die you lose your stuff so trading that would not be worth the trouble. and as for other players, how sure are you? that you arent expecting a shot at the back and someone just taking your stuff i know what you mean. its worth a try, im not stopping you though. dont mind my criticism im just like that

found a couple of servers that kick bandits, and the admin/owner of the server is just like your attitude. i left cause after i got stuff im bored. and thats the sheer enjoyment of the game because if you dont get killed. then you're going to get bored quite fast. i know your point aswell that you dont like getting shot at every so often by bandits but hey. it's what drives us to become stronger. id rather be killed a million times and playing the server for months than having all the gears and just playing for days. face it you lose your stuff move on. play again -

do not feel guilty. no one is friendly in DayZ unless you know them IRL -
arent there military settlements already

no, they are shoot-able. and Dayz is on Alpha and bugs will really be there. only time will tell if it gets fix but It surely Will for the advancement of the game
