Right now it's mayhem along the coast, everyone is killing everyone and there is almost constant fighting in Cherno and Electro. Sure, don't go there unless you want to fight. Main problem is, there are barely any survivors anywhere else. Today I had one of the most bizarre encounters yet. Started off with me hearing a gunfight, Player A was fighting player B. So I started running there. when I arrived I noticed player C in one of the bushes so i hid. Player A killed player B, then player C killed player B as he revealed himself I killed player C. Wich of course revealed me to player D who shot me. Noone had even left the beach yet, so everyone was shooting with Makarovs. What I mean by this is, we have a HUGE map. But almost half the server is along the coast. Why not expand the spawnpoints, drop players in the woods somewhere and let them find out where they are on their own. This way we'll have more disoriented players trying to survive and less Makarov mayhem.

Don't focus on my story, focus on the problem. And no, I wasn't pissed.. I had just spawned 5 minutes before it happned, had no gear, nor did they.

Same issue for me.. Screen went black and I spawned in the ocean with 3 other dudes (I had changed from bandit to survivor skin). -
Does this mean tents (and it's contents) and vehicles are bound to the character and can be brought to other servers?

It does however feel like the pvp has increesed alot just in a few days. But there is still alot of friendly people around who you can team up with. But the worst of the worst has to be the pvpers who ask if you are friendly when they are not. But to people who complain about geting murderd you have to realize killing someone is a huge gamble. You might miss, then youll have alot of zombies on your ass aswell as a pissed off player. You might also hit the player, but unless its a headshot he will probably survive.

What I cannot understand is people PVPing at the coast towns with makarovs. I can understand people not willing to risk it when you get inland, when you have alot better gear and something to lose. When I get killed inland by someone with a well placed sniper shot or someone pops up around a corner and sprays me full of bullet I think "Well done". If I spawn on the beach and try to locate where I am and someone start chasing me with the makarov, now that just pisses me off. I have nothing you can't find at the nearest house. Will people please stop the "POINTLESS" pvp and this game will become SOOOO much more enjoyable.

Plenty of threads with this. They've already said they simply cant change the cycle. It would cause too many problems with both the servers and the mod.

I would vote to make spawning even worse. Now you have the coast to navigate along. Easy to figure out where you are and where you want to go. Id rather be thrown into the woods somewhere without a single clue as to where I am or wich way is north.

I agree with this, good idea. 20 minutes without moving at all. Noone does that unless they are idle. With so few servers we need something like that.

Arma has sucky pathfinding so the zombies will zig-zag. Sure its possible to add more zombies and make them move slower, but then we need to use a much smaller map. Servers can struggle with the current ammount. If you get chased in the open, run.. They wont catch you when you are running. Never take on zombies in the open unless you have a big group or is far away. Get inside the nearest house and take them all out when they slow down. Or if possible just run out the other side and escape. -
I'm not sure this is a bug so I'm asking if anyone else has noticed this. Last night I was super close to death (around 2000 blood), was passing out every 2 minutes untill I found two goats. With the cooked meat I regained 5000 health and kept 1 meat as reserve, played for about an hour more before I logged off. Today when I logged back in I was back at 2000 blood, had 1 cooked meat in my bag.

My lesson was learned rather quickly so my tip is dont shoot bandits unless you have to. Was looting a barn when suddenly a bandit entered with an m16 pointed at me. Made a quick decision to lower my gun tho common sense would be to kill him and nab his gun. Turned out he was super friendly and he also had 2 friends in the bushes aiming at me. Ended up traveling with them for quite some time.

Just need to add proper instructions in the downloads section. That way almost everyone will use it.

I'd be happy if there were more places with stuff. Tents, bunkers etc. Maybe even a few abandoned camping sites in the woods. Got a feeling looting is going to get pretty dull rather fast once you learn to recognize every building you can and can't enter.

Well right now EU is about 12 hours behind (or ahead), FR is 11 hours. US seems about right.

It makes even more sense that an army base would have more ammo than 2 clips for the ak. What I would like to see is more loot places. Right now there seems to be only civilian type loot and military type loot laying around. How about certain loot for homes, stores, roadblocks, industries, barns, military tents, military bunkers etc. -
Whole bandit system should be removed (it can't be done).. Why put lables on people anyway, there shouldn't be any way to identifying eachother (whos good, whos bad) other than the face skin and speaking to oneanother. For a proper bandit system to work you need to account for who fired first (misses included), just can't be done in this game.

The realtime day/night cycles are stupid.. Here are some examples why. Say I work nights IRL, I get some nights off and I want to spend that time playing. I'll be forced to play this game in darkness constantly. Turn it around, I can only play during the days. Then I won't need flashlights, lightsticks and all that other crap. If the day/night cycles was 1 or 2 hours you'd be forced to always keep that night gear like flashlights and lightsticks or you'd be screwed. This way everyone would be happy.

So I was clearing a small town with about 8 houses, can't remember wich one it was exacly. Killed every single zombie I could find. I made noice everywhere to attract all of them. In one house I found a backpack wich was bigger than the one I had. So I figured I'd go back and pick up the stuff in the other buildings I had left behind. But when I got back outside the whole town was swarming with zombies again. Is it intended for the zombies to constantly respawn? Wouldn't it be better if once all the zombies have been killed they won't respawn for quite some time or untill the town doesn't have any players within a certain radius. With the respawn rate this game apparently has right now, sniping zombies from a safe distance just seems to be a waste of bullets, as once you approach the town the ones you've killed will be back.
