  5. What would you use those fortified structures for though? Surely not for storing anything of any value. From gameplay perspective, the only kind of "base building" that makes sense in this game is tents/small stashes imo.
  6. I just don't see how this kind of base construction would work in DayZ. To be honest, at times it does seem Dean has no set idea of where he wants to go with this game.

  9. I never log out in areas where being AFK for 30 seconds means my character is likely to die so I welcome this system.

  12. Was just about to say that. I remember a recent thread/poll where 50% of the people admitted to server hopping. The amount of people actually doing it in game is unreal. Sadly it probably means it is always going to be a problem on the main hive.

  17. For gameplay reasons, fast zombies are always going to be much better. Whether they're "real zombies" or infected humans doesn't really matter. I doubt Rocket cares either as long as they fit the game.
  18. Eh, I don't believe player created construction exactly means epoch style basebuilding. At least I hope it doesn't, that would be awful.
  19. So Chernogorsk B were allowed to play in the same division as FC Chernogorsk. Scandalous.
  20. I'm against it. Not only are 99% of the players psycho murderers, but everyone would be a cannibal as well. It's unrealistic and doesn't make sense from gameplay perspective. There is still lots of food in Chernarus and always will be. No one would kill and eat a person if they could find beans everywhere.

  22. And "KoSers" are just a bunch of boring people with no creativity :P No, really. For people playing this game just to "win", I agree there is no reason not to KoS. Thankfully there is more to DayZ than that. Although it's rare, it does happen, and it's those moments that make me want to play more, not my "k/d ratio" or something.
  23. Even as of now with no loot respawning, finding stuff is very easy as long as you don't hit the exact same loot spots every time like in the mod. Nothing whatsoever "hardcore" about it. People WILL still complain when loot respawn comes because it won't be implemented in the way they want it to be.
  24. Yeah, I think that's what they're aiming for down the road. Achieving a good balance is not going to be easy and they need to be very careful not to ruin the whole point of the new server side spawn system. Zombies should definitely respawn but there should be no way to easily tell a player is in the area just by looking at zombies for example. Certain loot should perhaps respawn after some time but it shouldn't depend whether or not a player is nearby.
