Hello DayZ survivors and bandits. I have decided to create an official group / clan after many hours of cooperative gameplay with some friends. We decided that it is time to achieve bigger and better things, and most importantly meet and play with more people. Group play is where this mod shines in my opinion. With that said, let's get into the meat of this thread. The Dark Brotherhood -=|DB|=- is a newly founded group that wishes to foster a rich and competative group playing environment for it's members. This is about creating friendships and memories in this infected apocalypse. Rules: Rules of engagement - case by case basis - no punishment for being a bandit, but please don't shoot unarmed players. Age requirement - Minimum of 16: 18+ prefered. I will not tolerate immaturity and stupidity. Communication - Working and clear microphone is essential. We will use TS3 and Skype (subject to change) Residence: North America with clear and fluent English. No disconnecting to avoid PVP death. No hacking or serious exploiting. We are looking for semi-active, mature, players who are seeking a positive group playing experience. That's it, happy to help new players with moderate experience. Group Goals Secure and defend a remote and suitable base of operations. Obtain, maintain, and USE vehicles effectively. Not interested in pointless hoarding. Search for and Ambush other groups. Effectively use scouts and patrols to ensure group safety and find suitable targets. Non-lethal robbing and harassment of players, for fun. Perhaps assassination missions. Host a home server. In my experience, the reported time of day on DayZCommander is wrong 3/5 times. It's a great alternative to sixlauncher, but it has it's issues :P

This is really easy for hackers to do, because they just execute a script in the ArmA2 engine.

I generally have fraps running most of the time, incase that something record worthy happens while playing. Fraps displays your FPS in the corner.

It is using a known exploit. you can ban for it. Almost every server I play on does.

Yeah, only a handful of seattle servers are online right now. I had a badass camp on one of the ones that is gone :(

I feel as if my character gets hungry and thirsty more quickly than before, but that might just be my perception. It's annoying to have to eat after like 20 minutes, especially when you can't find food / lost it all with a tent bug lol. I don't mind it too much, but I do see your point, and I too would like to see an increase (slight) in the time before you have to eat. It makes sense to have to drink every 20-30 minutes though.

I was exploring the forest trying to find a good place to set up my new camp, and all of a sudden I see an ural truck in the distance, I run over to it to find the truck, two cars, a bus, and an atv. The truck had over 15 guns, including m107s and dozens of ammo magazines, a shit ton of medical supplies and lots of repair parts, including main rotor assembly :) I stole all of that shit, took me a few hours to relocate everything and set up camp far enough way to be safe. I can't wait to show my buddies!

This would only work if all the servers were either run my competent people, or the devs themselves. edit: Also, what about people that have a hard time playing during the night? It would be restricting to not allow them to play on a day server during that period.

A hacker would use the name null. They think it makes them seem cool. lol.

This isn't in the hands of rocket and his crew because I doubt they have the ability to modify people's graphical settings with the mod. Side note: This would be a game breaker for most people trying to play at night. I sure as hell couldn't stand the pitch black night without increasing my gamma.

One of your guys killed my friend on site last night and when I opened fire on him he disconnected. I forgot his name. Didn't think much of it until I saw that you guys are "friendly" Was on Seattle 106 near Starry Sobor

I brutalized somebody with my hatchet the other day. It was my first kill, got my heart racing really fast.

Most are isolated somewhere really far out in bum-fuck nowhere. They can be hard to spot if you are just running around the forest blindly.

Sounds like abuse to me, I don't think that they are allowed to have private servers like that. It kind of ruins the risk of playing to be honest.
