    Fair enough, it just seems to be what everyone is calling it. Ghosting, Nightcrawlering, Serverhopping. All are just fancy ways of saying 'bullshit'.

    Tents still duping/losing items 1.7.1.5

    Confirmed. Tested it with some meat and it lost all of the meat, so I wont be using the tent to store items until this is fixed.

    I learned long ago in EVE Online never to trust anyone. Seemed like a good lesson to bring to the table when I started playing this game. I shoot on sight, no questions asked. Better safe than sorry.

    Do's and Dont's of D/Cing

    Some guy ambushed me and I unloaded my PDW on him. He disconnected immediately. Because I was in a deer stand, I feared he would server hop and log back in behind me. So I also disconnected. Feeding the problem but what the hell could I do?
  5. I feel like makarov ammo, flares, and chemlights spawn FAR too frequently in residential areas. I don't know about where you live but where I live, you're more likely to find canteens/water bottles canned foods and backpacks rather than chemlights and flares. I go into apartment buildings and all I see all over the floor is chemlights, flares, and pistol mags. Just my two cents on loot distribution.

    Suggestion: Slenderman!

    I don't feel this fits in with the theme of the mod. Slenderman is supposed to be a supernatural entity, whereas the zombies in Day Z are not supernatural, they are infected with some kind of rage virus. However I'd like to see more zombie varieties (zombie dogs for example).

    We need testing tools.

    As the title says, we need testing tools in order to help facilitate the process of weeding out bugs easier. This is an Alpha, not a release ready mod, and as such it should not be played like a released game but with the mindset of a bughunter. When I was a bughunter for EVE Online, we were given a vast array of tools to facilitate our job. We could spawn NPCs and items, teleport, view hitboxes and physics bubbles (an EVE Online concept), and many other things. The lack of any such tools for DayZ makes actual testing nearly nonexistant. What we have is a community of people playing this game as if it were release ready, and only a relative few out of the hundreds of thousands who play this game, who are reporting bugs and participating in the alpha testing portion of the game. When it takes several hours to reproduce the steps that led to a bug (such as by hunting for an item to repair something with), that is not a good testing environment, and I feel it needs to change. Consolidated suggestions: 1) give testers commands to spawn items and entites (vehicles, zombies) 2) add teleportation commands 3) grant testers more ingame information on the processes going on in the world (display zombie LOS, hitboxes, etc) 3) Restrict this to special test servers perhaps? That way people can keep playing, while those who are interested in the QA process can do their work. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

    Yeah, server hopping really kills this unfortunately. Until there's a way to restrict and control server hopping this could be easy to abuse by people wanting to ruin the experience of those who are actually trying to play the game. I just want to help get it release ready first, and invest significant time into actually playing the game when it's more stable.

    That first one is pretty damn funny. I want the option to spawn as a priest, armed with nothing but the shield of my faith, and run around like that too (disable all pickups of course).

    I've had my legs broken by jumping off a 5-10 foot ledge in DayZ. People are indeed far tougher.

    Limit vehicle saving to 1 per player

    I've seen two ATVs spawned in the same location, the Ural in the north, bikes, and cars, all in less than three days. Play on less populated servers if you want a vehicle.

    Simple Solution to Loot Farming via Server Hopping

    Good suggestion, in theory. Implementing it may be more difficult than you think. Edit: I'd personally like to see players locked to their server for 30 minutes after disconnecting (only able to log back into their last server unless they wait 30 minutes) but that's just me. Otherwise we may as well all be Time Lords.
