2 people looking for a group

I want to join your group! I feel the same way except I have been completely solo up until now. I'm sick of it, I want to start a camp and fix vehicles and what not but I can't do it alone. The fact that you and your buddy know each other irl is awesome because fully random groups are untrustworthy I think. I favor Shotguns, LMGs, and snipers.
  2. I need a team...I've been playing for over a month solo

New Bandit Clan [Fire Rapid Squad]

I could use a clan. I'm kinda getting bored of soloing. I'm on US east and my preferred weapons are Shotguns, LMGs and Snipers. Also, I can't find your steam.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

You only need a 10 second delay. I think most people here don't understand how long one minute is ffs. Maybe make it 1 minute if you have the shock condition but having to normally wait 1 minute is a pain.
  6. I think it would be awesome if player corpses had an 80% chance to turn into "fresh zombies" after 5 minutes. Why 5 minutes? To give people enough time to loot their kill of course! I think you shouldn't be able to hide bodies though. Fresh zombies are much more powerful than normal zombies. They have more life than an actual player, have a higher chance to break bones and knock players out, and do more damage. They wander in a 1 km radius from where they died and never despawn(maybe even save through restarts!) until killed. When the fresh zombies spawn, they will drop all items except the backpack. Any items inside the backpack are also saved and can be looted when the zombie dies. With this update, popular areas will be even scarier. Even the forests around those areas are dangerous, as they are infested with wandering fresh zombies. The zombies do not use a players internet and will not despawn when they abort. Also, their model has the backpack they carry so they are easy to identify. EDIT: the more PvP, the more angry zombies :D Also, players that kill these zombies might find good things on the corpses(since they carry player bags with items in them). So it's not pointless to kill them. Additional ideas: Random Reanimation timer- Makes looting scary D: 20s-10 min random Fresh Zombie Warlord- The blood of fresh zombies attracts(or spawns) other zombies, causing a small zombie horde to slowly accumulate and chill with the fresh zombie. This horde is the pinnacle of PvE and pose the greatest threat to survivors on Chenarus. These hordes can wander outside of their cities but cannot be formed in the middle of the forest, should a fresh zombie be there. If a fresh zombie dies, the other zombies will despawn after they lose or kill their targets. Fresh zombies will not form hordes with other fresh zombies, but they may roam in the same area and multiple hordes may attack the same targets.

    Super Zombie on Survivor Death

Haha good idea xD it would definitely make players think twice before going up to corpses. Maybe 25 seconds as a minimum and 10 minutes as a maximum. 15 minutes is kinda too much I think. Unless it's not linear and most zombies spawn in the first 3 minutes even though the middle number is 7.
  8. I need a legit clan. What I mean by that is a clan with a home server/base and what not. I find vehicles often, and I would like to place them in the base for anyone to use as I rarely feel the need to use them. I wouldn't mind getting helicopter rides by teammates though. I favor LMGs(currently using an M249) for urban combat and general teamplay support, and I carry a DMR in my bag for long range engagements. I am highly aggressive specially when I feel threatened. However, I will never attack someone that spots me first and yells friendly instead of shooting me. I usually help them actually.

    more helicopters

So much hate on solo players. I can never use any vehicle because of that. Not my fault I don't have friends that play this game.

    Super Zombie on Survivor Death

It's a general idea of course. I'll let the developers figure out the details.

Incentive for not being a bandit?

Um... I'm pretty sure those stats on the website are wrong. Because I have never met a player that hasn't killed another player, or attempted to. I have killed tons of people and I'm probably not in those 60k. Do you really believe that 80% of players will not shoot you on sight? Grow up, please.

Solution to Pvp logging,Alt F4ing, etc.

Jeez why do people always go to extremes. All you need to discourage combat aborting is a 5-10 second delay, not 30 secs, not 1 minute. 5-10 seconds is more than enough to die to a player, and zombies will deal enough damage in that time to discourage logging out. The difference is, if you crash while zombies are chasing you, they will likely not kill you in that time. Unless of course, you aggroed the entire city...but who does that other than people planning to abort?

    Add a sexual anxiety meter

I don't see the issue with this suggestion except it's kinda extreme. Rape and sex in general is realistic and would constantly happen in an apocalyptic scenario, and to be honest, women won't even mind if they have been alone for too long. The problem is, that a lot of forever alone male players are going to make females. Anyways, I think sex, rape, and homo will be abused too much and not only hurt the general gameplay but also damage this game's image. I think it would be cool to have an option to "Partner" a player of the opposite sex, and if they accept, you will both have affected stats that you can't see. They are not always positive though. For example, the male might become protective and tougher to protect the girl causing his defenses against damage, bleeding, knockout, etc to improve slightly. He could also get lazy and lose stamina. The girl could feel confident and more secure or she could become dependant or paranoid about being alone. They could even have sex but there's a lot of possibilities and it's not needed.
  16. I need that bug...god I wish there was auto run sometimes
  17. 1: Whenever you disconnect or abort, your character should remain in-game for an additional 5-10 seconds. This is to prevent people from disconnecting and avoiding PvP deaths and zombies. This is also realistic since your character is supposed to "sleep" in a safe place, even if there's only a 5-10 second window to kill you. The scary part is, you don't know if you're dead or not until you log in next time(if you weren't in a safe place). 2: Please remove all sorts of NV and thermal. People would play during the night time if they didn't feel at a disadvantage. Not a lot of people actually have those items but it still makes you think twice before joining a night time server. Chemlights, flares, fires, flashlights. They have a freeking purpose, specially when you notice how common they are. 3: remove the debug and the "player has died" thing. I think it's silly that people look for at the chat instead of the body to confirm kills. 4: Idk yet, I don't think there's anything else too gamebreaking. Other than duplication and hackers . I guess there's too much canned food and KoS but that's not a big deal.

    Sanity as a stat

I think sanity is a very overlooked factor of survival. I'm pretty sure most people would go insane after crawling around a city full of zombies that might spot you and eat you at any given time. Of course, nothing written here is written in a 1000 yr old monolith that cannot be edited. I will just use numbers to give people reading a general idea of the concept. I'm not sure if sanity should have a brain icon or just be hidden like pain at the moment. Sanity won't kill you. Instead, it will cause highly negative effects on your character and will indirectly promote friendly player interaction. Let's assume the sanity bar starts out at 12k: If it drops to 9k, your screen/aiming will shake a little. Not nearly as bad as pain, but you will have a really hard time holding your breath. The shaking will hardly be noticeable at first, but will eventually become unbearable as sanity drops. A lot worse than pain after ~6k If it drops under 7k, you will begin to occasionally hear things that aren't really there. This includes faint voice of people talking, laughing and breathing. Most commonly, however, imaginary zombie sounds. These hallucinations happen more and more often and become louder and louder as your sanity drops. At around 9k-7k, you rarely hear anything and it sounds distant. As your sanity plummets to 5k and below, you will be shitting yourself constantly. If it drops to 3k, you will begin to see things that do not exist. Zombies and survivors alike that no one else can see and do not actually hurt your life, gets worse similar to the sound hallucinations. They are scary though, and both type of hallucinations will appear hostile and about to attack you. Scary enough to make the player shoot them often in their paranoia. I understand that this might be difficult to implement. In the case that it can't be implemented, just make the sounds so scary and so close behind the player that they will be looking over their shoulder constantly. Additionally, using items might fail and be destroyed with very low sanity. This includes bandages, morphine, and other consumables. Crazy people might see worms or something on it and throw it/rip it apart. :P If it drops to zero, you will pass out for 15 seconds and climb back up to 1k sanity when you wake up. How to lose and gain sanity? Of course, numbers are all placeholders in this suggestion, NOTHING is set in stone. Lose: Having zombies in a 20m radius constantly drains your sanity by 1 per second. Non-stacking effect. Having player corpses in a 5m radius constantly drains your sanity by 3 per second. Stacking effect. 3 corpses drain 9 sanity per second. Killing a player causes a 3k drop in sanity. Pitch blackness also causes a 1 sanity per 5 second drop if you lack a light source. Getting hit by zombies causes a 50-100 sanity drop. Gain: Having players nearby grant you 5 sanity per second. This is a stacking effect. *Also, the sanity regeneration from other players will never take you above the other players' sanity. For example, say there's a group of three people: player A with 10k sanity, player B with 2k, and player C with 6k. Player A will not regenerate sanity. Player C will regenerate 5 sanity per second, and player B will generate 10 sanity per second until he catches up to Player C and then both regenerate 5 sanity per second until they reach player A. Additionally, this is the only way to increase your sanity past 8k. Of course, no one will ever be completely sane at 12k with this system, except new spawns. Killing a zombie grants you 50 sanity. Will not increase it past 8k. Using a new, super rare item will grant you 5k sanity, but will not increase it past 8k. Found in hospitals. Hopefully, this system makes the game more realistic and promote friendly player interactions. It also doesn't favor group-banditing since it is impossible to generate sanity if no one is sane.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

I think the shock condition should last only 60 seconds but activate whenever a player shoots you or zombies bite you, and if you log off to avoid zombies or players you go unconscious for 10 minutes instead. That's enough time to bleed out and die.
