    Happened to me as well. Looted it - put it on and was instantly under the building swimming :)

    Yea it just teleported me into water in the building i was in. lost all equipped items.

    Was just playing on it with a buddy - he "died" with full blood while just sitting and looking in inventory. :O

    From what i have learned from playing/reading, as of the recent patch there is no indication of whether others are bandits or not, and to become a bandit I'm fairly certain that it is a certain number of murders that you need to commit. as for your self defense scenario, it still counts as a murder i believe (if they aren't a bandit). Correct anything ive said if its wrong guys!
