Looks fun. I'll probably play it. Sounds like they might be able to keep the psychopaths down to a more realistic portion of the game population.

Most people evacuated. The majority of those that remained grouped together. The minority shot at people and helicopters. Now Dayz. Everybody kills everybody. You can't use the "if this was a real disaster" argument to justify being a psychopath in the game and ignore the fact that if the game was real life, the vast minority of players would murder other players on sight.

Yeah? So everybody who stayed in Hurricane Katrina killed everybody else they saw. Hmmm...sounds like the only people left in New Orleans are criminals then according to you.

Absolutely not. Killing people is horrible (I know). There is no disaster that has caused an entire population to slaughter eachother on sight. This argument is stale and false.

Like bandits brag about killing a guy who doesn't even see them across a field "because that's what would happen in a real disaster!"?

The fact of the matter is that you keep making comparisons to what it would be like in real life. No legal system? Yeah, but there is also no disaster in the history of the world where everybody decided to kill everybody else in their society. Any mechanic that makes murderers the minority is bringing the game closer to reality and authenticity. I'm probably one of the few people on this board who has actually had to shoot somebody. It isn't fun and it does have negative effects in your life. All the internet tough guys poo poo any answer somebody brings up to make the game more realistic. Guess what...you're all keyboard commandos. You couldn't and wouldn't survive a real disaster because the people who survive disasters are people with a moral code who group together.

Yeah right bandit tough guys. Your arguments are garbage. Show me one disaster, man made or natural, where the ENTIRE population of an area just started slaughtering EVERYBODY else. It hasn't happened ever. It isn't human nature. If we were that destructive, we wouldn't be here.
