Missions really puts me off, so im against implementing them. The endgame at the moment is death. Yes, thats the point, to die and do that lootin' n killin' all over again. But what about somekind of achievement-thingy, like, just brainstorming here, a boat up on a certain coast that takes you to safety. And that would mean the end of that character, losing gear and all the fat loots as well, but the character was actually saved, adding a notch to your internet-wood-of-seriousness!. And by saving the character you may get some kinda hat or stuff like that, to your new character, vanity items, no golden M1911s. Ofc the sites to "succesful exit" would turn to battlefields but theres no stopping that anyways.

Humans do have quite large arteries that are easily severed, so the bleeding thingy kinda makes sense to me. I think as a "animal" going for the kill, the infected aim for the throat and our necks house some really heavy duty arteries. -

The hell? Too hard? You guys remember that this is a "zombie" themed survival game? Realistic "Zombies" with custom animations - These once human creatures will act and behave as if they have a heighten sense of hearing and smell but less sight, on top of that they use motion captured animations such as walking and eating from your unconscious body. If you look into any built up area you'll see them walking around waiting for their next victim which dares to venture in. Thats what it says in the What is Day Z? section. If they were not hard (too easy and too few atm imo), whats the point having them in this game? As a mild annoyance while shufflin' through towns? Cannibalistic dead/alive lunatics are supposed to be scary and difficult to kill. -

My cousin used to torture kittens he got from animal shelter, but then i introduced him to DayZ. With this act of generosity i have saved hundreds of kittens. -
Fair point. Fantasizing about more lethal infected is silly until the stealth/sneaking system is polished and tuned to the max. Still, the fear factor is gone, like you said, when you are all geared up. Yet there are whole military camps overrun by the infected and a group of 5-10 survivors with mixed backgrounds fend of these hordes with such ease that they think it would be fun to fight some humans with guns. Or maybe im too serious with this mod <_<

Won't happen cuz pewpew! Seriously, idea is good though (And many times proposed). In a game like DayZ where Sh1t is serious, people tend to find a way to feel safe, usually staying away from harm via sniper rifle whilst killing all possible threats. Its an art form and the primary objective nowadays to go all Munchkin in a multiplayer game. edit: fixin some drunken grammar butt fuk it

1. Lower the amount of damage zombies do by 10%. 2. Make zombies run 5% slower than players and eventually get tired and break aggro. 1. Hell no, i personally would like to see their damage doubled, at the current state they are just a nuisance. 2. As Rocket has stated, they are not Zombies in the Romero-style (Not in these words though), so i think they are just fine. Other than those points, it just alpha atm.
