I'm a murderer! I was scared witless at the northern most airfield, hiding in the trees as I heard a vehicle drive up. I think he saw me at some point, because he kept driving around the local area honking his horn. I waiting a while and he took off for the hangars. I heard lots of gunshots in the distance then he drove past me again to some sheds at the end of the field. Then it got quiet, though I could hard the vehicle still idling. I creeped up slowly and could have sworn I saw him aiming at me, prone in one of the sheds, so I took a few shots with the M16 I'd picked up at the field. I killed him, but I think he must've passed out from blood loss which is why he didn't fire back. This is the first time I've ever fired first, and now I feel bad that I might've killed an incapacitated survivor. I mean, he could have been a bandit, because he never once tried to actually contact me. I shouldn't be feeling like this over a game death! :)

Ditto. I tried on my Gillie, and for the last two days I keep getting sent back to the spot/time I had put it on, with the gear loadout I had at that point. Really frustrating as I've tried to move from that spot 3 times now, only to end back up there. Tried on several servers, got the same thing.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I finaly found an ATV (My first!), but every time I select the option to get into the drivers seat, it makes the animation and then I end up back off the bike again. I'm currently wearing a gilie suit, so I don't know if that would prevent me from using it (I couldn't find any instances of it on the forum). And I simply doing something wrong?

I don't know if I've actualy managed to kill anyone just yet. I'd just snuck into a store (found some binocs, but not much else), stuck my head out the doorway and saw another survivor sitting there eating something. I quickly backed away and got into a corner (all I had was an axe) and yelled 'Friendly" over the chat. Next thing I know he's coming around the corner with a pistol and never said a word. I gave him four good whacks with my axe before I succumbed to the pistols gunfire. I can only hope the '* has died' message was that bastard bleeding out right after I died. That's probably the closest I've come to killing someone so far. I just don't know if I have it in my to kill yet. I haven't lost that 'some people gotta be good' thoughts yet, though I still tend to run like a jackrabit anytime I see someone near me.

I think since it things you've gone into the water, that's why all your stuff drops (since going into water makes you drop your goods). Still, way too annoying to want to try it, short of dropping everything first then donning it. I might try that. Can't be any worse that loseing it all to the bug.

I found my first gillie suit today! Totaly wasn't expecting it as I went through an apartment building....But I can't wear it! If I wear it right now, due to the bug, I'll lose everything! Oh the irony!

Yeah, I've noticed that since the patch loot drops seem a lot lower. I've gone through 2 towns, and not even tin cans had been spawned. Makes it hard when you want a can of beans!

It's taken me a week to figure out how to effectivly sneak past zeds or lose them if they agro. And This new patch made it an even steeper learning curve.

Hah! I had mine last night. I knew bandits were in the area, as they had barb-wire across almost all the doorways in Cherno (that was a lot of barbed wire, so they were pretty well entrenched). I had spawned there and didn't realize this until I was well into the city. Suddenly I hear shooting from two different directions and bolted. Sadly, they nailed me hard and knocked me flat out (though still alive). I woke up with less than 200 blood left and ran like a bat out of hell. Got behind cover long enough to bandage...only to aggro a zombie! So I started running again...and passed out before I could lose the zed. It ate me alive, but man that was a "oh-shit" moment.

I've actually avoided picking up a rifle and stick with the hatchet as I'm lone wolfing. Got a pistol if I have to, but I find if I do aggro a Z, I can run into a building and hack them down without drawing more attention. Sure, it might leave me at a disavantage against bandits, but honestly if I bump into a bandit if the pistol isn't enough I'm screwed anyways.

Hi. I'm fairly new to the game, only playing it within the last two weeks. I've gotten to run with a friend once, and man I gotta say the game has an entirely different feel when you have someone watching your back (instead of shooting it). At this point, like many others, I've found it's just easier to kill anyone that gets too close, as they seem to only want to do that back. I've yet to run into an actual friendly in the game that I didn't already know.
