No other game can fill me with dread when I see someone, at least not yet *coughs* H1Z1 :P

Better safe than sorry! I would have shot that guy too, you don't pull out a gun unless you intend to use it lol.. People get grief for killing fresh spawns for no reason, but lots of times I've been randomly punched by a freshy just because he wanted my gear lol I just love encountering other survivors, the main reason I play DayZ!

Sounds like you've been busy! I HATE dying, but I love gearing up again lol usually when I'm fully geared I get bored so I go looking for trouble! I don't kill people on sight, I just go to places which usually have people and see if I get shot at :P

Thanks dude! I was more trusting because I had nothing to lose, normally if I'm a fresh spawn I run towards anyone I see lol if I had a gun I probably would have kept my distance :P

All of what you're saying makes sense, but its all after you've had time to think about it. Panic is the best thing to turn off common sense in people lol Like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qToFXX9oGI0 The guy at the start was friendly but still shot at us when we first saw each other because he startled him :P

Yes we would have, nearly every time we ask/tell someone to drop their weapon, we give them food (sometimes even ammo!) if they do so. My usual routine if they have a gun is to pick it up when the others are talking to him, hide it somewhere obvious then tell him where it is when we leave. That way if he does have bad intentions he has to first get his gun, by that time we're out of range :P

We laughed because of the circumstances, if you watch our other videos you will see than in general we try to help people. Of course we kill too, this is DayZ after all... but we aren't the type of people to shout demands at players then just kill them for the sake of it. The only reason we acted in that hostile way is to protect each other, it can take ages to meet up again if someone gets killed so we do what must be done to people deemed a threat (yes, even people with axes if they don't want to drop them)
