    omg. individual server bans have no affect on the global ban. It is a separate system entirely.

  11. in reality, you just need to keep your scripts.txt up-to-date. Haven't had any nukers on our servers so far but quite a few people spawning crates and what-not (although It auto-kicks for those scripts now). Also, I highly recommend you kick people for using dedicatedserver.sqf as that will rid you of a lot of your problems.

    Australian Servers

    The issue is not with the servers it's with the way dayz is coded. The game expects a response from the hive straight away so it stops ALL NETWORK TRAFFIC until it gets one. This is what causes the randomly huge "no message received" desync mid-game. The only thing that makes sense is that the extra ping from the aussie servers to the hive is causing massive lag somewhere (happy to be proven wrong). At the end of the day that's what all the au/nz servers have in common. It sucks as well as we pay 10x what the us hosters are paying. I can assure you the server hardware is not stressed at all (~35% CPU usage) and our bandwidth is only using about 35 of our 100mb link. We have tried pretty much everything to reduce "server lag" and all fingers point back to dayz and the hive. You'll see in the 1.7.1 patch notes that the lag is hopefully eliminated, or at least significantly reduced. The lag is also much worse on non-beta servers, but that will change next patch (woo!).

    Rocket, how is BE picking up these bans? I have about 20 or so players that I have found on my servers that i would LOVE to submit :)
  15. First, do you know how much it costs? For a single 50 slot I would go for about $250-300 per month minimum. You start getting slighly cheaper the more servers you get, however 4x50 is currently costing us about $700 per month. We have a good deal with one of our providers though so you won't be getting those sort of prices.

    it's in your server.cfg, it should be 2 by default. a quick google would have found you the same result, as usual.

    yes most of those map hacks are done using markers. The setmarker/creatmarker line in your scripts.txt should be able to pick them up easily.

    This shouldn't happen on any servers with standard security measures in place. It is likely they are being targeted because they haven't been set up properly. I could be wrong however it's unlikely.

    Gamehack #38

    yes there was a battleye bug, however the ban only applies to his server. If he owns the server he can just remove the ban so i don't really see what the problem is.
